Crystal Palace player Patrick van Aanholt got plenty of attention after being in a heated Twitter exchange with Katie Hopkins this week.
The public spat came following comments she made about the Black Lives Matter campaign.

Mass protests continue to take place in various part of the world after George Floyd’s death this week.
Video footage of Floyd’s arrest showed him on to the pavement in handcuffs before being being made to have his face down.
Police officers held Floyd before officer Derek Chauvin placed his knee on his neck – causing Floyd say to “I can’t breathe.” He was later pronounced dead in hospital.
Since then the #BlackLivesMatter movement has grown bigger across social media and on Thursday night, the Premier League player responded to Hopkins after she caused controversy online.
She tweeted: “Today is #whiteoutwednesday I will shortly be posting a picture of my arse. Thank you.”
Van Aanholt replied: “I don’t know who she is but WOW…2020 needs to cancel you” before making a comment about a video she directed towards the Black Lives Matter protesters.

Hopkins hit back at van Aanholt in her own tweet, but it didn’t take long for him to reply.

They continued before van Aanholt ended it with a promise of his own.
