Crawley hammer Leeds as the FA Cup Fourth Round ball numbers are revealed

League Two club Crawley Town have managed to hammer Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds as the FA Cup Fourth Round ball numbers are revealed.

The was a huge amount of talk before the much anticipated game at Crawley Town, mainly surrounding on their new signing Mark Wright who was named in the on the bench.

Before he even had chance to come onto the pitch, with many thinking he’d score at some point during the game, Crawley were 3-0 up against their opponents who sit 12th in the Premier League table.

Nick Tsaroulla put the hosts in front on the 50th minute, collecting it on the edge of the box, spinning away from a defender and weaving his way into the penalty area before firing a superb strike into the far corner with his left foot.

Of course by this point the calls for the sacking of Kiko Casilla, signed from Real Madrid in 2019, came from the Leeds fanbase on Twitter.

Just two minutes later, Ashley Nadesan doubled the Reds’ lead, after Leeds give it away in their own half and Nadesan was threaded through on the right of the penalty box by Tom Nichols.

A decent effort on goal, but Kiko Casilla really should have done better there. The Leeds keeper lets it squirm through his grasp at the front post.

BBC Sport’s live feed read: “Wow. Leeds have previous in the FA Cup when it comes to being upset by lower-league opposition, but Marcelo Bielsa’s side must be stunned by that quick double for the hosts.

“The Premier League side look to hit back through Helder Costa, but he can’t stretch a leg out far enough to poke into an empty net.”

Whilst Martin Keown added: “Crawley manager John Yems will know that that this is a big period in the game because Leeds are going to come after them now.

“There has to be a reaction.”

Leeds continued to get from there, it got scrappy in the Leeds box, and Ashley Nadesan mustered an effort on target.

Kiko Casilla got down well to keep it out, but Jordan Tunnicliffe was there on the edge of the six-yard box to take a touch and hammer it into the roof of the net to make it Crawley three, Leeds nil. Ouch.

TOWIE star and Heart radio presenter Mark Wright did make his appearance, coming on with two minutes left on the clock… here he is!

Fans reacted after seeing Crawley hammer Leeds as the FA Cup Fourth Round ball numbers are revealed…

@itsjordanbarrow: What’s abundantly clear is we lack any sort of depth and the fringe players just aren’t good enough. Tactics and subs have been off today but that still shouldn’t result in a hammering from Crawley! #lufc

@GasPanic93: 3-0 down at Crawley yet still they’re talking about Bielsa’s supposed tactical brilliance

@AllisterAshy: Is Casilla playing for Crawley? Genuinely awful, should’ve played Caprile not this clown

@OliWhiteMOT93: No excuses, this is embarrassingly bad, even by our cup upset standards. So many strange decisions and poor performances today.

@sonaldinho71: 3-0 down but you have lost this in the right way. Hats off to you what a performance what a team! Joy to watch I’ve never seen anything like it.

@JGCollins_: Announce Casilla contract termination

@lufcZxch: leave casilla in crawley. pay crawley to have him. just fucking get him out this club

@bekkascottx: kiko needs to go

@cawood7l: Absolute fucking embarrassment every single player, serious repercussions need to be had from this. Not acceptable on any level.

@Ehsan_Iqbal_: The half time subs were wrong and Kiko should never play again

@cufcstuff: 3-0 now, might as well give Mark Wright a run out.

@Stevefootball1: Wow. This team in all honesty maybe better then the evans era.

@AndyDoree: If we’re not going to take these games seriously then either don’t play in them or put a full U23’s team out. Fans don’t deserve this. Fucking joke.

@TheFergusonWay: Leeds United under Marcelo Bielsa are losing 3-0 to Crawley Town who are 6th in League Two. But they play high-pressing entertaining football though, which is what matters at the end.

@AFCArchie14: “Yes I know Leeds are loosing 3-0 to a team 64 league places below them but you have to admire the way they are player under Bielsa they are playing with great energy”

@JayMotty: Crawley 3-0 up against Leeds means only one thing. English media: “Marcelo Bielsa deserves praise for helping to give the FA Cup such an entertaining game”
