Paddy Madden scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner with the striker making amends for missing an earlier penalty when he tucked away Myles Hippolyte’s cut back.
Ryan Rydel was brought down in the area three minutes into the second half, but Madden’s spot-kick was saved by Ryan Boot.
The Solihull keeper also stopped Will Collar and Ryan Croasdale’s chances late on however couldn’t keep out Madden’s strike in injury time. Take a look at the match highlights for yourself below…
Manager Dave Challinor said: “Yeah it feels like a big three points, but it only three likes a big three points by backing it up next weekend, nice to score a late one, nice to score a late one that’s a winner, and as you say it’s a big win for us, the fact it’s against a team competing for the the playoff positions especially on the back of the two chances we have at the start of the second half, that’s the bit of adversity that you need to potentially come over and to score as late as you do and get three points we’ve got to make sure it is pivotal.”
He went on to reveal that his opposition made it tough for them and acknowledged how good Solihull were especially looking at their form and that they deserve to be fourth in the table.
The interviewer said: “you got the win, only six to play now, what do you need now, three wins or are you not still thinking about that?
Dave replied: “I’ve not really looked at where we’re at, I think, what are we now 85? Four wins is unassailable for us out of six, I’m not going to say I’ll take three now because three might not be enough, I’ll take three if one of them is Wrexham because that means they can’t get three but yeah we’ve just got to focus, that’s a massively important game for us, a tough place to go against, the team I suppose have pride to play for but they’re in front of their home fans and whatever, we’ve got to make sure that we’re right, recovery from what’s been a tough weekend, and make sure we do what we can to go there and get three points then look forward to it, another bank holiday week after that.”

Meanwhile, Phil Parkinson says he wants Wrexham to make up more ground on Stockport before the title rivals go head to head next month.
The Welsh side’s 4-0 win against Altrincham on Monday extended their unbeaten run to 15 games and go seven points behind the leaders with six games to go.
Wrexham and Stockport play each other on Sunday the 8th of May with Parkinson wanting to close the gap before then.
“We will just keep everyone’s feet on the floor, there’s a lot of work to be done yet this season but we are ready for the challenges which lay ahead,” said Parkinson.
“We have just got to take care of our own business and make sure that we keep getting the points our performances deserve.
“Stockport keep winning but over the Easter period we have clawed back a point.
“We have got to play them at home and we will make sure that when that game comes around, we are even closer.”
Parkinson heard about Stockport’s result after the final whistle.
“It wasn’t until I got in the dressing room,” said Parkinson.
“I am trying to avoid that because it is not going to affect us trying to win every game.
“Whatever happens elsewhere at this stage has got no impact on any of our decisions.”
