Fans took to express their disappointment in Chester player Gary Stopforth for admitting to drink-driving just yards away from a police station, but also gave their support to push on a show himself in a good light with his abilities on the pitch…
Chin up g stop we all make mistakes pal. It's what you do on the pitch and for the shirt that counts.

Although it was a poor decision I wish you all the best. The club, and I am sure the supporters, will welcome your undoubted abilities back. #COYB

Very disappointed in Gary but I find this post even more despicable. When the law is broken we should find ways to help rehabilitate not kick them when they’re down.

@IandyHolliday: That’s a high reading tbf.
@FussballJames: Disappointing to hear to say the least but I’m sure he’s sorry about what’s happened and understands that it was just a stupid error. Everyone makes mistakes @garystopforth, as long as you carry on giving your all on the pitch and playing for the shirt we’ll be right behind you
Roy Greaves: Ok we all make mistakes in life Lets all get behind Gary and put this in the past. Gary is a big part in our club let’s get behind him. and help. the lad through this difficult time.
Blonde Pig Barnett: Life goes on. We al make bad choices. If he learns from it then it can only be of benefit to him his family and the Club
Steven Edwards: well done for your honest Gary we all make mistakes let’s push on now and get promoted coyb
