Chelsea vs Krasnodar Live Match Stream

Our live stream ahead of Tuesday nights Champions League match, Chelsea vs Krasnodar is now up, kicking off at 20.00 BST.

You can keep an eye on the commentary as it happens below, but first, we take a preview into the fixture, lineups, predictions and much more…

Chelsea, who sit third in the Premier League table, guaranteed their qualification to the group stages after their fourth victory from five Champions League games when they won 4-0 away at Sevilla last week, with Giroud picking up all the goals for the Blues.

Olivier Giroud scored a penalty with his final touch of the game and became the first Chelsea player to score four in one game since his manager in 2010, as Chelsea secured top spot in their Champions League group in style.

More recently, Chelsea completed a 3-1 comeback win in front of their home fans at Stamford Bridge and go top of the Premier League for a brief period.

Krasnodar go into the game having qualified for the Europa League, which has been more down to Rennes’ woeful form than anything else.

The Russian outfit have nevertheless been handed another chance to put things right in Europe after an underwhelming group stage.

In the reverse fixture in Russia, Chelsea won 4-0…

PRESS CONFERENCES:

Frank Lampard

On Ziyech injury

He is going for a scan this afternoon so I will have more information later. Hudson-Odoi is also out with a hamstring problem.

On Klopp saying they’re favourites

I don’t think we think much of it. Liverpool and Manchester City have built a great squad, there are others in contention.

I think where we are out, we are in good form, but we have players who have come in and City and Liverpool have had a lot of success for long periods. We are trying to reach that.

On winning in different ways…

We had a nice period of clean sheets and knew that was a plus. Against Leeds we started brilliantly for a few minutes, but conceded. But we didn’t change the plan and that is confidence on what we are doing.

On fans booing taking the knee

I don’t want to comment on other clubs, but at Chelsea when players took the knee our fans clapped. That is Chelsea football club.

What do you want to see from the game?

To gain more match fitness, hopefully no injuries. I want to see the right attitude.

On Kepa…

Kepa starts. It is about attitude and how you play, his situation now is different with Mendy’s form. Kepa is training brilliantly well and acting brilliantly well. I have no qualms about putting him back in.

How has Kepa been with Mendy?

He has been very supportive. I have seen that. I watch from afar and he has been supporting him and training well. That’s what I look at. Goalkeepers have to push each other as a group.

Timo Werner, is he trying too hard?

I have no worries about Timo. he has made a big impact already. He has created chances and he is going to be a huge player for this club. I don’t think that the Spain/Germany game had an impact on him, it’s just a small moment.

Billy Gilmour, get minutes or go on loan?

Billy will start tomorrow and I don’t want to have that thought until the window opens. We have options, but that can quickly change. I will make that decision going forward.

On Kai Havertz...

He is fitting in really well and he had really strong symptoms of COVID. Not all the players have had it like that and it took a while to come over that. Before the test his form was fantastic.

I was delighted with the way he was playing and COVID cut that short. I have no worries about Kai, exactly the opposite. He is going to be a very big player for me and in the world. It can take a while for players to adapt to the Premier League, but I think he has done very well.

Long-term worries over Ziyech

I wasn’t as I think he was looking good. The injury was looking great. I hope it’s a minor injury. Long-term I am not worried about him at all.

FORM:

Chelsea Champions League form: DWWWW
Chelsea form (all competitions): WWWDWW

FC Krasnodar Champions League form: WDLLLW
FC Krasnodar form (all competitions): LWLLWW

LINEUPS:

Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Kepa; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Emerson; Jorginho, Kovacic, Havertz; Hudson-Odoi, Giroud, Pulisic

FC Krasnodar possible starting lineup:
Safonov; Smolnikov, Martynovich, Sorokin, Ramirez; Wanderson, Kambolov, Vilhena, Claesson; Berg, Ari

SPORTSMOLE PREDICTS:

This game means very little for both teams who are already assured of their places in the group, and Krasnodar can therefore afford to play without fear when they make the long journey to the English capital. However, even with numerous changes, Chelsea should still have too much firepower for the Russian side and we are backing Lampard’s men to march to another convincing victory in Europe.

Score prediction: Chelsea 3-0 FC Krasnodar
