Chaotic final Soccer AM episode goes off air, sees mics cut out and guests warned for swearing

A chaotic final ever episode of Soccer AM goes off air, sees mics cut out and guests warned for swearing leaving viewers baffled.

Soccer AM’s final show was halted by technical problems, going off the air for a few moments due to a poorly-timed hiccup, as it said goodbye to its fans.

After nearly 30 years, Soccer AM broadcasted its last ever episode, and whilst there was some nostalgic bits, overall it was incredibly messy, but you could say that’s just what the show is and aims to be in general after all this time.

As the show came to an end, Jimmy Bullard and John Fendley bid viewers a fond farewell.

In an exchange that was x-rated and followed the theme of the show, Bullard called Fendley “the boll****” at the end of the show.

The final 90-minutes saw technical problems, X-rated language, and even minor injuries to guests.

The most awkward moment came during the “Shocker Saturday” feature, when a message on the screen explained that the program had to be briefly taken off the air.

The sign was only visible for a few seconds, but it was a shame as the show had hoped to end on a high note.

The host “Fenners” had earlier encountered problems as he carried the program to the parking lot.

His microphone completely went out when Stormzy and Jimmy Bullard were competing to see who can hit the crossbar the most.

The host was coordinating the event, but instead the mic dropped out and viewers couldn’t hear the questions he was asking the Cheltenham fans, tried to go closer to their mic, but that failed too. This caused some awkwardness before a staff member finally got a proper mic for him to hold.

Stormzy joined Stephen Graham, Jack Whitehall and other big stars.

A mishap left Graham and Whitehall gripping icepacks at the beginning of the show as they were practicing for a segment in the parking lot where guests shoot at a giant target, but they ended up overstretching themselves and ended up with sore muscles.

Whitehall’s X-rated rant quickly escalated with audio cut temporarily when the comedian swears while describing Stormzy’s appearance at Brit Awards.

Just four minutes in, host ‘Fenners’ was forced to say: “Can we watch the expletives please, lads.”

Whitehall, however, didn’t take it on board, going into a humorous remark about how far he would go to win a royal honor.

The comedian’s comments on Rolf Harris and Rupert Murdoch, as well as the Royal Family were muted.

Whitehall’s audio was cut a third and final time moments later when he swore in an attempt to recreate Serge Pizzorno’s iconic volley while attempting to do so in the parking lot.

Speaking to the panel, Whitehall explained how he was still waiting to be honoured by the Royal Family. “When they released the honours, I was waiting by the phone, nothing,” he said.

“Every year, the amount of brown nosing I’ve done with that…”

The comedian then commented: “Also, I’d take anything, I’d have the one’s they stripped off Rolf.”

Soccer AM as dipped in popularity over recent years, leading to it unsurprising being axed by Sky.

Tubes had a message for those who were moaning that the show isn’t the same or as good as it used to be.

“It has changed,” he told friend and colleague Ange on the latest episode of Tubes and Ange Golf Life. “It’s massively changed, but it’s had to change.

“I get fed up with people who say ‘It’s not what it used to be’ – it can’t be what it used to be.

“Because, the way the world has changed, you can’t be doing the stuff we were doing back in the day! Some of the jokes [and] some of the innuendos – we can’t do stuff like that!”
