One Championship side are reportedly weighing up a swoop for a 14-goal National League hotshot.
Football League World has suggested that Luton Town are considering a move for Torquay United striker Jamie Reid, who has had a great start to the season in the National League.
The Hatters are currently searching for someone to help striker James Collins upfront, and it seems they are joining Huddersfield and Preston in looking at non league talent.
Danny Cowley and Alex Neil’s sides have their eyes set on Boreham Wood striker Kabongo Tshimanga who joins Torquay’s Jamie Reid at the top of the National League goalscorers table.
Reid has been with Torquay since July 2017, when he initially joined them on loan, before making it permanent in October.
Since then, he’s made 110 appearance for the club, and managed to put the ball in the back of the net 24 times.
TT POLL (as requested by @jakeFBTW) – No-one wants him to leave of course, but with his amazing form and talk of interest from Luton Town, will Jamie Reid still be at Plainmoor after January? ?#tufc #JR19

He dropped down the leagues from Exeter to join rivals Torquay, but after finding form, it would be very interesting to see if Luton would give him a lifeline in bringing back into the Football League.
Football League World also suggest that Reid’s height and aerial prowess could “prove to be an ideal candidate to partner Collins in the Luton frontline, with Town boss Graeme Jones favouring a largely direct style of play this season.”
After finding out about the transfer rumours, fans took to give their reaction, some Luton fans agreed that they needed a proven goalscorers, others wanted the defense sorted out instead. Torquay and Plymouth fans also had their say – see what they wrote on the next page.
