Cardiff City player Joe Bennett shows off his gruesome eye injury after clashing heads with his team-mate Junior Hoilett.
Bennett ended up having to be carried off and then substituted on the 35th minute after both players took each other out in Sunday’s 2-1 Championship win at Sheffield Wednesday.
The former England Under-21 star Bennett didn’t lose his sense of humour in the collision, after he was able to joke about the incident in a tweet afterwards.
The ex-Middlesbrough, Brighton, Aston Villa defender said: “@jrhoilett23 your head is made of concrete ?? all good though no fracture. Great result from the boys.”

Robert Glatzel and Hoilett had put the Bluebirds 2-0 up after just eight minutes before Sam Lees got the Owls back in the game.
It was late in the first half that Bennett and Hoilett collided worryingly whilst leaping to head the ball.
Medics from both teams quickly made their way onto the pitch to treat the duo as they lay holding their heads.

Hoilett eventually got up and stayed on for the rest of the game, but Bennett was taken off on a stretcher.
The result has left Cardiff in 10th in the Championship table with 37 points from 25 games played. Sheffield Wednesday sit just outside the playoff zone in 7th with 39 points from 25 matches.
