Cardiff City CEO Ken Choo is allegedly ‘probing the behaviour’ of Swansea ambassador Lee Trundle while attending the derby fixture.
In the minutes before kick-off, Swans fans made themselves heard, belting out songs of support for their team, while also sang some anti-Cardiff chants.
Trundle, a Swansea legend, was there in the thick of it all, on the shoulders of a fan singing along with in the stadium concourse.
“We f*****g hate Cardiff City, we f*****g hate Cardiff City!” Trundle and his supporters sung the song, as seen in a viral video, as they stepped up the intensity.

“Been informed that Cardiff CEO Ken Choo is probing the behaviour of Swansea City Club Ambassador Lee Trundle at the Cardiff City Stadium last Saturday.
“Trundle is thought to have participated in vile-language anti-Cardiff songs at the stadium visitor’s section.
“It is expected Choo will be in contact with his CEO counterpart at Swansea over Trundle’s unacceptable public performance.
“Trundle, who is seen as a hero at Swansea, but who flopped after a £1m move to Bristol City in the 2007/08 season, is due to lead a Swans side against a Cardiff City representative team led by Andy Legg at Brintirion FC on April 23.
“The match was to raise funds for former Swansea and Cardiff star Jason Bowen who has been struck with Motor Neuron Disease.
“There now must be doubts about Liverpool-born Trundle’s involvement in the fixture due to the threat of potential crowd trouble.
“Cardiff Chairman Mehmet Dalman has transmitted his thoughts to Choo on the issue.”
Tis is what social media users said with claims the Cardiff CEO ‘probing the behaviour’ of Swansea ambassador Lee Trundle at the recent derby fixture…
@IanParfitt: What a PATHETIC club Cardiff City are – no wonder you are so disliked everywhere!!!
@markvaudin: Agree this is a pathetic call from our club Trundle has a huge passion for the Swans which I admire and still bosses it on the pitch
@PaulDan92082415: Only goes to show how sad and low Cardiff City are as a club presently, worrying about things when they have far bigger things they could be putting their efforts into. Cardiff City = JOKE!
@GRichards93: Tragic
@Gate2Podcast: I was stood about 3 people away @LeeTrundle10. He sang “hate Cardiff City” once or twice but didn’t go near any chants related to Wittingham or Sala. He was there with his Mrs and young Step Children. Do your worst Ken 🤦♂️
@MattyRosser: 😂😂😂😂 grow up
@JacksSwansea: Embarrassing 😂 Cry merchants 😂
@Chris13916438: It’s a joke wish we had some ex players who would do the same. Nothing surprises me with board. Get over it good on him he’s a jack through and through he hates cardiff wouldn’t want him pretending he don’t keep it up you fat scouse prick 👏
@GarethBowles10: He might be a twat and he might have taken it too far, but that’s what cardiff are missing. Players, ex players and staff that feel the same as the fans for this game. The only two city players I ever see talking about the club or showing up is @MichaelChopra and @jaybothroyd
@BennetStone: No Cardiff fan wants Choo to pursue this. It’s embarrassing. Choo and his cronies can’t get anywhere near assembling a side to beat the jacks so they decide to pursue an ex-player to gain some sort of victory. Pathetic. The sooner these arseholes are out of our club the better!
@nickprice83: Absolutely hysterical 🤣 the Cardiff board are making themselves to look even more of a laughing stock. Quite a few level headed fans in the comments though seeing it for what it actually is. A man following the team he loves, just like any other fan. #DoubeDoube
@dilwynjohn1927: Choo needs to get a grip
@91JohnLee: Pathetic. Does he remember rolling out Chopra on the pitch last season given his criminal record and checkered off field past? Banter club of the championship
@danielnewberry6: Cardiff pathetic mind
@fatandwelsh: Ffs. Trying to remove the biggest name from the line up of a CHARITY game. Nothing surprises me.
@yanto1927ccfc: Sour grapes and a deflection tactic from the board
@PhilRichards82: 🤣🤣🤣🤣 embarrassing. Cardiff the gift that keeps on giving.
@DarlingSZN: Always crying the victims you lot 😂 gonna cry to the FA again
@stubbsyd: Much ado about nothing annis, no problem with a guy supporting his team. Trundle is a top bloke and does so much for local league and junior football across the whole South Wales area. Sour grapes for me, 2 teams having shocking seasons imho 🤷🏻♂️
@willo1111: The people running the club keep making tits out of themselves
@DavidRe74293956: Come on get over yourselves. Pity your players and former players didn’t show as much passion for their club. Really really pathetic.
@Pooler_Bluebird: If we had an ex-player giving it the big one before a derby, we’d be loving it. We’ve bigger issues to worry about.
@sometimesriding: Nice to see the majority on that thread think it’s absolutely ridiculous as well.
@roseyboy71: I couldn’t careless to be honest choo needs to get his act together and run the place like a real CEO not a car salesman
@craigdavies128: Grow up u lot!
@_TF93: This is pretty embarrassing. If only some of our current players cared as much as their ex players
@marksherbs: The Cardiff fans I know as mates all said wish they had ex players who had the same heart…. Shambles of a club from top to bottom 🦢🦢🦢🦢
@2CanTom: Phoning the police are you? 😂 embarrassing
@bh_bryn: Cardiff should probably hide from the courts for a while tbf 😂
@GRichards93: If a cardiff ex player or ambassador got on the ale and whizz and got in the away end down the liberty and got the fans going maybe they’d…. well probably still lose …
@NWMYT: Absolutely embarrassed by the club again 🤬
@Burnett__27: Ken Choo is a gimp, sooner he and the rest of them get out of the club the better. If you can’t handle the banter try and have us turn up for a game for once
@TRW91: Moaning about this but wont pay what they owe !! That club is nothing short of an embarrassment !! Sorry our ex players love the club and city so much they become fans unlike your shit !! Good to see some Cardiff fans calling out this shit too tho
@ccfc__dan: I fucking give up with this club mun, absolute fucking joke. He’s probably just shocked how someone can turn up and actually care for a football club, stupid little cunt. Send us down, ship these twats off and let someone who gives a fuck run it… I vote Simmo
@Jinks_24: Thing is these cunts don’t represent any of us, has the club ever been so unlikeable?
@rrinooox: We’re actually such an embarrassing club
@muff5: This is absolutely pathetic. A Swansea fan singing he hates Cardiff and they want to complain , grow up . But to try and pull him from a charity game to raise funds for a Cardiff legend is just disgraceful. Whether you like trundle or not , he’s a big pull for that day
@buddyforengland: Absolute joke off a club didn’t they run to the police after one off players did the swim away celebration against them last again embarrassed to welsh football ffs
