Bury FC gives gives a cheeky response to Noel Gallagher’s dig at the club during Oasis’ Heaton Park gig earlier this week.
The Northern Premier League newcomers responded humorously on social media as a video was doing the rounds on social media.
Noel, a lifelong Manchester City fan, called Bury “f***ing shit” while interacting with a fan in the audience.
The comment, prompted a reaction from the club and its fans online. They highlighted Bury’s recent promotion to the Northern Premier League West Division and jokingly compared their success to Manchester City’s trophyless season.
The club also shared a video of a historic 1998 goal against City, playfully promoting ticket sales with Oasis-themed puns like “roll with it” and “UP THE SHAKERS!”
