Bristol Rovers fans protest against the owners as a 3-0 thrashing by opponents Swindon makes it a 10th league defeat in a row.
Boos rang out around the Memorial Stadium, first with the hosts three goals and a man down at half time in the West Country derby.
It took 15 minute for Swindon to go ahead, Joe Snowdon’s with a shot from well outside the box before going over to celebrate in front of the Rovers dugout.
Just before the half hour mark, Swindon were two up, Finley Munroe whipped in a corner, and it was headed home by the captain Ollie Clarke.
On 34 minutes, Joe Snowdon played the ball through to Aaron Drinan, who curled his effort beyond the goalkeeper to make it 3-0.

Then Rovers faced more misery in the first-half with Barnsley loanee Kacper Lopata shown a straight red card for a dangerous lunge.
With around 30 minutes left of the second half, Swindon went down to 10 men, Aaron Drinan shown a second yellow card and was sent off, for what the referee deemed to be a dive in the box.
It proved to be Darrell Clarke’s last game in charge, the club simply saying: “Bristol Rovers FC can confirm that Men’s First Team Head Coach Darrell Clarke and Assistant Head Coach Jon Stead have been relieved of their duties.
“The Club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Darrell and Jon for their hard work and efforts. Darrell’s legacy at the Club is assured and he will always be warmly welcomed at The Memorial Stadium.
“The process to recruit a successor is underway and the Club will be making no further comment at this time.”

BRISTOL ROVERS FANS’ PROTEST MESSAGE:
SPEAK UP OR SELL UP
1. Long-term vision for the stadium and the future of the Mem – We need a clear update on the long-term stadium plan, including timelines, progress, obstacles and alternatives. Supporters must be informed about the club’s intended direction and plan for its home.
2. Open communication on all matters relating to the club – Supporters deserve updates that deliver a strategic vision of what we’re trying to achieve. Automated or AI-generated messages are not an acceptable substitute for genuine communication.
3. A genuine apology and acknowledgement of responsibility – We expect a personal and direct statement from ownership acknowledging the relegation, outlining what went wrong, and accepting accountability.
4. A clear explanation of failures and lessons learned – Supporters deserve transparency about where the club believes it failed last season, what has been learned, and how those lessons will directly shape future decisions.
S. A long-term football strategy, not just new appointments – Replacing the manager and Director of Football cannot be the entire plan. We want the ownership to present a coherent, long-term football strategy addressing recruitment, development, stability and performance.
6. Financial clarity and annual operating expectations – What is the playing budget? What level of investment is the ownership prepared to commit each season? What are the realistic financial expectations for the club in the short and medium term?
7. Transparency on financing and investment capability – Can the current ownership realistically finance the club’s long-term ambitions, including infrastructure projects? If not, they must be transparent about the need for external investment.
8. Investment strategy and sourcing – If external investment is required, supporters deserve clarity on:
• where the club intends to seek investment
• what scale of investment is needed
• what level of ownership/shareholding would be offered
9. Training ground update – We need a full update on the training ground situation, including current progress, long-term plans and expected timelines for completion or expansion.
10. Professional executive structure We request the appointment of an football experienced, full-time CEO and CFO (or similar roles) to provide professional governance, support football operations, and ensure the dub is run to modem standards. Currently we have a setup with little-no football experience steering the ship. We want confirmation that the ownership will actively consider and pursue this.
This is how Twitter reacted after Bristol Rovers fans protest against owners as the thrashing by Swindon makes it a 10th defeat in a row…
@KarlS1977: Need to go and get Evan’s asap should of went for him from the start, serial winner not pretty football but affective in L2 and would of sorted the mentality of this piss poor squad,DC was always a gamble considering his outdated tactics, all I’m watching now is hoof ball. #UTG
@Texy78Butler: The game was over after 30 mins it has since been a stroll in the park for the Swindon players! #UTG
@GasOnTour: This is the worst Rovers side I’ve seen in 45 years following the Gas. Even worse than the team that got relegated to NL in 2014. 10 defeats on the spin, 27 goals conceded & just 3 scored. I’m afraid DC has to go, but can any manager save us from relegation? I’m really not sure.
@Sam_Mason_Photo: Well that was painful. DC please be a man & walk away (assuming our pathetic board) continue to have faith in you. I’ve never felt to numb & lost as a Rovers fan ðŸ˜
@Gasheadpirate: Well done Rovers, two club records this week. Nine league defeats on the trot on Tuesday, ten league defeats on the trot today. Proud of you lads. However, we have a bigger prize to go for, 20 league defeats would be an EFL record. I have confidence in you to do that.
@WatchingTheGas: An absolutely shitty way to end what should have been his redemption story but with a load of players that don’t give two shits and aren’t up to the level of league two. Some absolute maniac has a task on thier hands that’s for sure!
@leonardtucker: Ultimately and more than likely it’ll be the Manager that’s gone this weekend. But players need to look at themselves. Spineless bar a few are stealing a living you cant get rid of dead wood. Who’s would honestly want these players conference south players at best gutless
@gasgirlm: So sad to see most of these players aren’t deserving to wear the shirt and play for our club. Whoever takes over has the biggest job of their life to get a tune out of these lot.
@noah14agema: I haven’t been vocal on this season. At the end of the day it’s not fucking good enough. The players don’t care, the owners don’t care. Why should anyone care? Fuck off
@Mike_p_1969_: Get a grip of this club. Feel for the fans. (Swindon Fan)

@stfcmax: Top protest, top performance, fair play lads, you really are dreadful. Thanks for the training session x
@1_henshall: Unfortunately that’s DC gone. These owners have been one of the worst things to happen to the club. Can’t stand 90% of this squad either. Horrendous.
@hfjekfhjke: We drew a half, we drew a half. We’re Bristol Rovers, we drew a half. Booking my play off final train tickets.
