Bristol City started a trend yesterday afternoon after they complained to Google that they hadn’t updated their new club crest yet.
After checking out their fixtures posted on Google, the Robins pointed it out in a tongue and cheek tweet and mentioned other clubs who wouldn’t be happy that they hadn’t change their crests either.
Bristol City wrote: “Hey @Google, fancy updating our crest? It’s been long enough. ?”

Of course, Google have made sure every Premier League club have their club badge and details absolutely up to date. But as mentioned with those in the EFL, it’s a different story.
Joining Bristol City, Hull City, Preston North End, Portsmouth, Stevenage, Brentford, Shrewsbury on not having their crests updated are Huddersfield Town, Oxford United and Salford City, the latter’s crest not even on show.
After finding out on the tweets being exchanged between clubs, fans took to give their reaction with many an amusing comment posted, even Zenit got in on the act – see what they had to say on the next page.
