Bradford City set new League Two record for most season tickets sold

Bradford City have set a new League Two record for most season tickets sold by a club in the fourth tier ahead of 2022/23.

Incredibly, since season tickets went on sale in mid-April, the early-bird period saw prices frozen from the campaign just gone at adult prices of £198.

The current figure of 14,036 has beaten the Bantams’ previous League Two season-ticket sales record of 13,614, set ahead of the 2019-20 season.

Bradford City AFC is delighted to announce over 14,000 early-bird ‘Own The Moment’ season-ticket sales ahead of the 2022/23 season – a League Two record for the club.

Having gone on sale on Thursday April 14, the early-bird period saw prices FROZEN from the 2021/22 campaign at just £198 (Adult).

The current figure of 14,036 beats City’s previous League Two season-ticket sales record of 13,614, set ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Season tickets remain available to purchase via the club’s official ticketing website – by CLICKING HERE – and from the all-new Valley Parade Ticket Office (which opens at 9.00am tomorrow), at prices of just £300 (Adult 24-64), £260 (Senior 65+ and Young Person 17-23), £190 (Youth 12-16) and £45 (Junior 11-).

City’s chief executive officer, Ryan Sparks, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has so far secured a season ticket ahead of 2022/23 for your magnificent, loyal support – in what are testing times for many people – as we continue to prepare for the coming campaign.

“To have broken our record for season-ticket sales in this division is testament to your brilliant backing, and represents a special achievement for the club, one which we can all be proud of.

“We have been able to put together a worthwhile and affordable package. Our direct-debit offering has once again proved popular, with over 35% of our total sales to date coming via this facility.

“Sales have continued today at full price, with supporters still keen to secure their place at Valley Parade ahead of next season. With over 1,000 having not yet renewed from last season, we are confident of still being able to significantly add to the numbers we have already posted.

“A great deal of work continues with regards to recruitment and plans for next season, as we look to finalise a squad ready to tackle the challenges ahead. Sales from the early-bird period give us huge confidence and assurances to enable us to further compete in the transfer market, and we look forward to sharing more exciting news with you over the coming days.

“We cannot wait to see you all packing out the stands at Valley Parade next season, as Mark Hughes, Glyn Hodges and our players go in search of success.”

The club will provide a more detailed breakdown of season-ticket figures towards the beginning of the 2022/23 season.

PLEASE NOTE: Season tickets remain on sale at full price, though are no longer available to purchase via direct debit. To secure your ‘Own The Moment’ 2022/23 season ticket, please CLICK HERE, or head to the all-new Valley Parade Ticket Office FROM 9.00AM TOMORROW.

@KevinDunkerley: 14,000 season ticket holders for a 4th tier club! How many would they get in a higher division? I am constantly impressed by the fanbase at Bradford. Said it before but worth repeating, a sleeping giant of English football.

@jake_verity: This is absolutely fantastic for a club in League Two and real credit has to go to the fans for getting behind the club (which we always do). With bumper crowds, exciting new signings and Sparky in charge – there’s a huge opportunity to make this season a memorable one! #bcafc

@SJBWho77: Every year we show it. Time for the team to repay us. In MH we trust #bcafc
