The Championship fixture, Bournemouth v Watford, had to be halted with players of both teams fighting and red cards being dished out.
With minutes remaining in the second tier encounter, there was a coming together between both teams after Watford striker Joao Pedro was sent off in the closing stages for a second yellow card.
Staff ended up having to get on the pitch with players scrapping, showing how high emotions were at the end of the game which ended 1-0 to Bournemouth thank to Arnaut Danjuma striking home on the 61st minute.
Referee Tony Harrington had a bit more work to do at the Vitality Stadium with Ismaila Sarr being held back by a Watford sub.
Jack Wilshere ended up getting sent off for his part in the incident with two yellow cards in stoppage time for the sub who was on the field for 15 minutes. Watford’s Ismaila Sarr was also booked.
Replays showed that Joao Pedro was sent off for kicking out at Jefferson Lerma, leading to a mass fight near the dugout.

@DgravyDan: Lerma is embarrassing
@forallthatglitt: Crikey that was a bit mad – good result for us but that wasnât acceptable behaviour from both sides
@dennisp_: Ffs Jack he gets too passionate
@monteply: TBH he could have seen a straight red for dissent when the ref gave a dodgy free kick against him and then he went up to the ref and swore in his face. I support the team but wouldn’t have complained if he’d got a red there and then.
@MickyHayes3: When they say this is scenes nobody wants to see when in fact we fucking do. Get stuck in lads
@olliejamespaddy: WTF IS GOING ON
@harry_blissett: Embarrassing stuff
@schoolboylooks: It was second yellow lads but we donât care, the man fights for the badge
@stuegs: Fair play on the win…. but Lerma is an absolute embarrassment to your club
@Alex_James95: All because Lerma is a baby and a cheat
@Notorious_Manc: Championship football is actually bare entertaining, Bournemouth and Watford massive kick off with 2 red cards in two mins felt like I was watching Geordie Shore
@BapaPeats: Jack Wilshere will do anything to get out of a game of football…
@harrod_alan: Disgrace of a club
@FRA4TZ: Dirty cheating Bournemouth as always get away with everything and both of Pedroâs cards werenât even fouls football is corrupt
@WFCAshhh: Pedro literally pushed and tripped by Wilshere ffs
@pajemiki: This was all caused by Bournemouth doing pretty much anything they wanted to kill the game and being allowed to get away with it. Some of the nonsense that went unpunished was pretty shameful. Bad ad for the game.
@olliejamespaddy: Looking forward to seeing Ben fosters blog
@KR_1_SH: Wilshere is 37 behaving like this
@HBlanchard96: Fuck off did he just say âyou gotta have sympathy for the officialsâ
@MrHunterxHunter: For someone so injury prone. Jack loves a fight
@CJLeadbetter: Vintage Wilshere. Full time whistle gone. Won 1-0. Trying to get back into the 1st team. Gets sent off unnecessarily.
@Flannel_dave: Outstanding mass brawl at Bournemouth vs Watford. One of those things that commentators always say ânobody wants to see scenes like thisâ…whereas in reality we all love that shit.
@Riggzon: Love a good brawl, shame Joao didn’t take Lerma back to the barrios with a punch or two the flying fish
@StarksCharlie: Dan Gosling has no idea who to smack but heâs just happy to be amongst it
@SkyBluesTalk: Surprised the ref even did anything. They have been letting Bournemouth and Watford do what they want for most of the season.
@JensenColeman4: Imagine young kids who support these clubs watching these scenes at home. They would be horrified at what they see here. This lot ainât role models. AT ALL.
