Bolton Wanderers manager confirms resignation

After finding out the Phil Parkinson has left Bolton Wanders, fans took to give their reaction…

@ppainsworth: Come to the end of their tether, not unsurprisingly. I wish them well. PP kept his cool in the most trying circumstances. #bwfc

@Armitage93: I think all that needs to be said is thanks to Phil and his staff for his patience and service to the club, through the highs, and the far too frequent lows. His reign shouldn’t have ended like this, and I wish him well.

@RyanElliotKay: He gave his all really can’t blame him after all this shambles

@PhilBWFC: Absolutely gutted. I mean you cant blame him. How long can this continue? #bwfc

@paolotime: You know what, I felt after relegation last season that it was time for a change. But the way that man has conducted himself throughout his tenure, particularly the past 12 months, he deserves a bloody statue! We’ve become a joke – best of luck to him!

@ParadiseSoul01: Carried himself with great dignity & worked under the most testing of circumstances. Lesser managers would’ve walked a long time ago. A sad but inevitable ending as any takeover would’ve seen him replaced in all likelihood.
