Birmingham fans go viral giving it large with hand gestures to Blackburn supporters

Birmingham City fans go viral in recent days, seen giving it large with hand gestures to Blackburn Rovers supporters on Saturday.

Reda Khadra scored the only goal to move Birmingham closer to safety, and also dent Blackburn’s bid for the play-offs.

The Blues were ahead by an hour when the on-loan Brighton player in midfield dominated the crowd.

Rovers fought hard to find a leveller, but John Ruddy’s double save by Lewis Travis and Bradley Dack was enough to secure all three points.

Birmingham won their third game in a row to move nine points ahead of the bottom three, sitting in 15th place in the Championship.

Blackburn go down to sixth on goal difference after Millwall’s draw at West Brom.

During the game, a number of Birmingham fans was giving it large to the Blackburn Rovers travelling support…

John Eustace praised his side, saying: “It is a fantastic win, a brilliant win. These are a top team. Very possession-based, they look after the football really well so we had to keep our concentration. I thought the shape was really good. The way we defended the box was outstanding, the back four were outstanding today.

“But it was a collective. Big Jukey [Lukas Jutkiewicz] was off yesterday, he was sick all day yesterday. So to get that shift out of him was unbelievable. I was very proud of his performance and the rest of the group.”

Reda Khadra netted the winning goal after 61 minutes and against his former club, becoming his fourth goal in a Blues kit.

Having found the net in January’s FA Cup clash at Ewood Park, Khadra, on loan from Brighton, repeated the trick by finding the bottom corner from outside the box for a second home game in succession.

Eustace laughed at how he had also been on at the German during the game: “He was getting a bit of stick from our support as well and a bit of stick from me! It wasn’t one of his better games, but listen, Reda is a top player and top players produce bits of magic that win you games.

“We are very fortunate that we have him here. It was wonderful recruitment from Craig [Gardner] and the Club. The way he took his goal was great and I am sure he was very pleased to score against his old team.”

Jon Dahl Tomasson said there won’t be any over reaction in his camp.

“Let’s stay stable,” he told RoversTV.

“It’s important to not go into the basement when you lose games and to not to go flying when you win games.

“It’s about remaining stable and continuing to focus on the things you can control.

“We’ll stick to our plan. It’s always a missed opportunity when you think you can win a game.

“It’s important we do the right things and also look at what we can do better.

“There were some good things against Birmingham but there were also things that we need to do better with.”

As mentioned, Birmingham fans go viral giving it large with hand gestures to Blackburn supporters, this is how social media users reacted…
