Basford United seal the signing of 41 year old experienced EFL player Nathan Tyson with over 600 appearances to his name.
The former pro footballer kick started his career at Reading, where he made his first-team debut in April 2000, and then had loan spells at the likes of Maidenhead United, Swansea City, Cheltenham Town, and Wycombe Wanderers, before he joined the Chairboys on a permanent transfer in March 2004.
He averaged a goal every two games for Wycombe, and was then sold to Nottingham Forest for a Β£675,000 fee in January 2006.
Tyson endured a five and a half season stay with the East Midlands outfit, and helped them on to seal promotion out of League One in 2008.
He signed for Derby County in June 2011, was loaned out to Millwall in January 2013, signed with Blackpool in September 2013, and was sent out to Fleetwood Town and Notts County having failed to win a first team place at Blackpool.
He linked up with Doncaster Rovers in July 2014, and spent two seasons with the club before moving to Kilmarnock in 2016 for a year.
And in the years that followed, returned to England, and steadily dropped down the English football pyramid with Wycombe Wanderers, Notts County, Chesterfield, Alfreton Town, Grantham Town, Ilkeston Town, Long Eaton United and now Basford United.
