Aston Villa thrash Sheffield United to see a number of Blades fans leave Bramall Lane stadium after just 22 minutes on the clock.
Sky Sports uploaded a short video via Instagram, showing the moment the fans heading out after Aston Villa went 3-0 up on the 20th minute.
Those who left early didn’t miss much either, with Villa going on to score two more times in a 5-0 victory to see Unai Emery’s side go 4th in the Premier League table with 46 points from 23 games played.
The misery continues for Sheffield United this season, with Chris Wilder’s side sitting rock bottom with 10 points from the same amount of games played.

Man of the match: Ollie Watkins.
Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins speaking to Match of the Day: “It’s a massive win. Obviously the scoreline but also a great performance from the boys. It’s massive for us to bounce back after the defeat midweek against Newcastle. Our away form hasn’t been up to scratch so it was a big performance for us today and a great win.”
Watkins on scoring his second goal in as many games after going six matches without a goal: “I am always capable of going on a run. It’s just about the mindset and the belief – belief that my team-mates are going to give me the ball like they did today, then I have got to finish the opportunities that I get.”
On importance of bouncing back from Newcastle defeat: “We needed it massively. Football is very fickle. We could have gone 17 points ahead of Newcastle. They drew today then we have won and the gap changes again. It changes very quickly. Really happy with our response and we now push on and hopefully can go on a good FA Cup run.”
Villa boss Unai Emery to BBC Sport: “I’m happy because before the match we were very focused to react. We scored goals, created chances and stopped them. Winning away is difficult.
“It was better than we were thinking at the beginning. We were clinical. We conceded two good chances at the end of the match.
“Emiliano always wants to keep clean sheets, like a striker [with goals].
“They were playing at home and started very well, they created the first chances. We stopped them. We were breaking their pressure and creating spaces.
“We have to try to focus each match. We’re really happy. Our aggression was fantastic.”
VIlla goalscorer Alex Moreno: “Five goals is incredible, very clinical in front of goal. It’s very important for us.
“Newcastle played really well [in the last game]. We didn’t play very well. Today the reaction was very important. Away is very tough. A good performance.
“I am very happy for Ollie. He’s very important for this team. Today he had a great performance. The most important thing is the clean sheet for Emi, the victory and the clean sheet.
“We have some tough games. We need the fans at home. It’s very important for us.
“I’m very happy for this goal. I’m delighted. I dedicate the goal to my family, a lot of people have helped me a lot.”
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder to BBC Sport: “We were punished ruthlessly. It’s a long way back from 4-0 down. Basic individual errors and organisational errors. I’ll take the rap for that. It was an atheltic young side who got put to bed.
“Watkins’ movement caused us a problem. Goals from Bailey and Tielemans were fabulous finishes. The goal just after half-time is difficult to take. I’ve been in that position as a player and a manager and there’s no hiding place.
“You have to take your medicine. We have to accept that and apologise to our supporters because they’ve been superb. We’ve let them down this evening.
“We had a couple of really good chances to take the lead and then we’ve gone chasing. We’ve got excited. We’ve left big holes and they’ve picked us off.
“If you allow good players big holes and players go diving in and losing their shape, they’ll find those pockets and produce that final finish. It can become messy which it did.
“There’s always a lot of noise about when teams get done three, four, five. It’s such a difficult environment to be in. Our fans stuck with us to the end.
“In that position everything becomes laboured and a reaction instead of an anticipation. Every ball seems to fall to them. You let a team the quality of Villa go 4-0 up and they’ll be buzing and 10 foot tall and everyone looks like a super players which they are.
“We gave them a massive helping hand.
“I don’t think there’s anything to take out of today’s performance. Nothing at all. We’ve been well and truly pumped. If people say there was only one goal in the second half it doesn’t hit home with anybody who’s been in the game.
“The stats are there. You have to take it on the chin. We’ve been outclassed and outfought in every department. That’s what happens in the Premier League. Maybe in other divisions it’s not as clinical and you have a chance to get back into this game.
“In this league they put you to bed and take you to the cleanwers. Whether they took their foot off the gas or our boys stuck to it is irrelevant.
“It’s what you get paid for. I’ve had it before. It’s not all been sunshine in my career. You lean on your experience and staff. We have to come in Monday morning and go again. We have to not blame people. We have to accept it, roll our sleeves up and go again. We have a huge game at Luton. We have to show more than we did this afternoon.”
This is what social media users said as Aston Villa thrash Sheffield United to see Blades fans leave the stadium after just 22 minutes…
@ALankyNoodle: Wilder working wonders 🤣🤣🤣
@KevJHS2012: With that starting line up we deserve nothing. Archer should be starting against his old club, Hamer is a must. We haven’t got a defence without Robinson. And I’d start anyone instead of awes, even the under 18s keeper.
@adamburns1994: Give them all the time and space on the ball they want and shrug when they score, cracking set of players we’ve got in defence.
@Alexjm05: Any danger of you turning up lads?
@KerrieRoebuck: Blame Wilder for tonight. No need to change things. No one knew what they were doing so just stopped. Worst first half this season.
@esseff69: I’ve been going for 50 years and know full well we have to take the rough with the smooth. Watched them go down to the old 4th division, and up to the Prem (and down again), but tonight I left on 60 mins because I WAS BORED
@kash4life35: Such a close game unlucky lads
@MartinLyne2: That was not a Blades performance. Chrissy get it sorted ⚔️
@JasonKinder38: Appalling, disgusting! I’m running out of words really to try and summarise this team. Sadly I genuinely think non of them care any more, including the manager.
@jordanB_1993: Rancid performance, Sheffield home of football apparently 🤷🏻♂️. The whole club needs a refresh. Get past Derbys record and move on to next season.
@JoshuaKammy: Thanks for everything but enough is enough @Saudi49er. #sufc #twitterblades
@smiffy2609: I was always sceptical when punters said the season was over before it had even started. However, it truly was wasn’t it? Dismal stuff, and there could well be a few more whackings to come yet. Yes, it’s only a game but so so disappointing nonetheless UTB #sufc #twitterblades
@RubyMonster: My Team are Uttter utter utter uttter utter utter S#%&# at the moment and it hurts so much. Embarrassing does not cut it. We will always be Blades but this is truly painful to watch shipping goals for fun totally heartbreaking to see 💔 #Sufc #twitterblades
@oldsufctweets: Let’s be honest we’re not actually a functioning team anymore, just a clusterfcuk of individuals. At least half of which have no stomach for the fight. Embarrassing , if the club goes down like this, the ST sales will be dreadful #twitterblades
@DavidKirkham3: Embarrassing today. Out played. Out fought. Out thought. Wrong formation. Gave them too much time and space – AGAIN. Pathetic. 2 ‘best’ players on the pitch are both here on loana. Big job this summer. Need a huge clear out with no financial backing! #sufc ##twitterblades
@benballcv:
Dear Blades Players,
1. Pass to YOUR players.
2. Tackle opponents.
3. Go towards to wards opponents goal.
4. Score.
5. Don’t let opponents do the above.

@unitedite: Genuinely never left before the end in 40 years (when Dad used to try beat the traffic🤣), I’ve sat there grimly to the end. But that was abysmal and embarrassing. I’m not going to repeat myself, but as well as the board today is on gutless players and the manager. #twitterblades
@DaniBryan89: @Saudi49er Thanks but i think its time to move on now. You have taken us as far as you can and surely you must see that. You say you love the club, love the fans so get it shifted on & let someone have a proper crack at it 🤷🏻♂️ #SheffieldUnited #TwitterBlades
