Arsenal fans have took to mock John Terry recording himself in the hope Chelsea score, only for Kai Havertz to win it.
He captioned his TikTok video: “Losing at home was always going to be difficult in the second leg at the Emirates and that proved exactly that tonight against a solid Arsenal team. @John Terry: Also I’m not sitting at home in my Chelsea tracksuit, got back earlier from our Youth League Game Vs PSV which we won on penalties. 💙👊🏻”
Substitute Havertz netted in the 97th minute to secure a 4-2 aggregate win for the Premier League leaders, who last played in a League Cup final in 2018.
The Gunners will face the winner of Manchester City v Newcastle United, which will play out on Wednesday night.

In the clip, John Terry, watching the game with his daughter, while at home, is heard saying: “Over a minute to go, we need a goal. Not a bad performance tonight but…
“Love that, the dog’s loving it. Come on boys. Need a goal, just a big chance.
“Great ball. Come on Trev, get in the box. Come on, deliver.
“Take that, let it go. It’s not going to go out, it’s not going to go out.”
His daughter is heard in the background shouting “fuck sake!” to which John turns the camera to her and then himself with a shocked look on his face.
She says: “Don’t put that anywhere please. Don’t put that anywhere Dad. No don’t please.”
He says: “Say sorry.”
She replies: “Sorry, no we’re not putting that anywhere. Come on, come on boys.”
Then comes the Arsenal goal: “Oh no. It’s offside anyway. Shit. Offside, surely it’s offside.
“That’s the end of our cup run. Surely it’s offside though. Not a bad performance from us but.
“Didn’t really look like scoring all night to be honest. And Arsenal have done what they needed to do tonight.”
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to ITV1: “Did I enjoy it? Very much – especially at the end. We knew it was going to be a real battle out there. That resilience, that clarity to understand what kind of game we had to play…we did that so well.
“There was a special atmosphere inside our stadium. It makes such a difference. We’ve been waiting a few years to get into this position and we’re certainly going to enjoy it [the final].”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said in his press conference: “We are so happy. I think overall, over the two games, we deserved to be through.
“It was a long match. We expected that. We wrapped it up at the end in a beautiful way, with Kai scoring the goal in the manner that he did and the reaction from the crowd.
“The starters, the finishers, the staff all there. It was magical. Really happy because it was a really tough match against a great opponent and we are in Wembley.
“I think the crowd was brilliant today. They brought so much energy and belief to the team in different moments. I think we all deserve to be together in Wembley.”
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior speaking to ITV1: “We dominated the areas we wanted to in the second half, but we didn’t find that quality moment.
“When you’re pushing as we were, we put both defenders in the box and in the last few minutes of injury time that (conceding) can always happen.
“Arsenal know they were in for a game today, over both ties. I think there are clear improvements from the first leg to the second. Yes, it’s painful to lose – you want to go through. We just need to keep making improvements – which I’m seeing.”
Any regrets from the first leg? “In the first leg, I’m not making excuses, but we had an illness go through the camp on the day of the game – we had four players missing – and I’d been in charge for three days. I cannot fault the application, intensity or the fight of the players.
Rosenior in his press conference: “I think everyone can see a difference in our performances. I think you can. I think that’s why you asked me the question. That’s really pleasing.
“But, obviously, losing the game is not what we wanted.
“I’ve been in for less than a month. We’ve had eight games in that month. So, for the players, firstly, to put the performances in that they’ve done, to show me the learning and, by the way, the spirit, the togetherness, the fight in the team was there.
“There’s a lot of encouraging signs. Now I need to see what we look like after a setback. We need to react positively.
“We have a difficult game away in Wolves on Saturday and I need to see what our reaction is to that.”
Arsenal’s Declan Rice, speaking to ITV1: “Credit to Chelsea to be fair. Since their new manager has come in they’ve been really, really good.
“They changed the formation tonight and gave us problems. On another night they could have scored but credit where it is due, our defence was incredible.
“We have a group who really want it. Whatever team comes at us, we’re ready for it. When you play a team like Chelsea they throw so many things at you physically and mentally.
“You’ve got to have that resilience to stay strong and keep going.
“We deserve it. The last three or four years we’ve been at the top of the Premier League competing and got really close but haven’t been good enough.
“That’s why this season we have that extra desire and fire in our bellies to go one step further in every competition. There’s a long way to go but to be a cup final with this club is amazing.”
Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: “The atmosphere at the end just makes me smile. On to Wembley! First of all, I didn’t know if he [Kai Havertz] was going to pass. He went around the keeper and he did amazing.
“For Kai being out for so long and coming back and the love he gets from the fans says a lot. You could feel it coming, he goes around the goalkeeper, and you know everyone is going to go crazy. Chelsea are a great team. They have some amazing players. Bringing Palmer and Estevao on, they also have amazing players coming off the bench. When you win over two legs twice, I think you have done an amazing job, so credit to the team. The desire is there – we are very hungry. We are in an amazing position.”
As mentioned, Arsenal fans mock John Terry recording himself in the hope Chelsea score, only for Kai Havertz to win it…
@ArsenalBallots: Thought Kai Havertz scoring would be the best thing I watch tonight but here’s John Terry recording himself thinking Chelsea will score only for Kai to win it. In his full Chelsea tracksuit ahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahah
@HLTCO: Why would you finish recording that and then actually post it? Baffling. 😂
@AdamArsenal: “He’s offside, he’s offside…” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@goatzil10: Why’s he gone and uploaded it though hahahaha what a numpty
@RABurton14: Can someone let him know he’s still not off side?
@sensible_gunner: For a top defender…his understanding of offside is pretty poor
@Pearcey2709: With a TV that size , surely you could see it was on side 😂😂
@PW6588: 45 year old bloke recording himself watching a match on TV at home. Grow up man.
I’m not saying John Terry is thick, but he’s just filmed himself in full Chelsea tracksuit shouting ‘Offside. This is offside. Offside’ at this, and then posted it. pic.twitter.com/O3S9jwAHm0
