Andy Carroll is said to be ‘in trouble’ after being pictured in bed with another woman days before his wedding to reality TV’s Billi Mucklow.
The 33 year old had a boozy night with Taylor Jane Wilkey after travelling out to Dubai, gatecrashing his fiancée’s hen party.
Pictures have since surfaced of him and Taylor on a bed and of her in his personalised bathrobe with his name on it, going viral, and his mates have said: “This is embarrassing with the wedding so close.”
Carroll, who was mostly recently let go by West Brom, went out to his wife-to-be Billi Mucklow in Dubai last week before she and hen party pals flew home.
Two days later he held his own stag celebrations, but ended up spending the day partying with bar manager Taylor Jane Wilkey.
They started at lunchtime in Dubai’s upmarket Cove Beach club before Carroll then invited her and two mates to go to another venue with a bar before heading to his hotel suite for an afterparty.
Photos of what took place that night, including a selfie of Taylor next to him on a bed, with Carroll looking like ‘worse for wear’, and one of her in his personalised bathrobe, were shared via Snapchat.
Taylor then sent the photos to her mates in the UK and since done the rounds online.
Friends close to Andy and Billi said last night: “This is all very embarrassing with the wedding so close.”
However, Taylor, 27, from Scarborough, has since come out and said to The Sun: “It was all just a bit of entirely innocent fun.”
She explained: “It was an afterparty. We all went back to his hotel. There was me, Andy and my female friend.
“I didn’t sleep with him, it wasn’t like that, there was three of us in the room.
“It was a full day and night of drinking, we’d been at Cove Beach since 12, it was a really boozy day. Andy was steaming, we were all drunk.”
She adds: “We went back to Andy’s hotel suite and we played some music and he got into bed and passed out.
“I was there with my friend until the early hours and took the photo as a joke.
“My mates back home were goading me for the lowdown so I took that picture for a laugh and sent it to them.
“Nothing sexual happened. It was just a bit of banter.”
Taylor claims she also wanted to sleep, so she took off her dress in the bathroom and put on one of Andy Carroll’s bathrobes.
She stressed: “At the end of the day nothing happened that should ruin his relationship. It was just a bit of fun.”
Taylor confirmed she had been partying with Carroll at Cove Beach bar then her and her friends met the stag party at a nightclub later.
She added: “We went to a club and were dancing, it was a great night.”
Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett and goalkeeper Mark Gillespie are also thought to have tagged along with the stag do party, which will arrive back in the UK today, however Carroll is said to be expecting a frosty reception from his fiancée Billi, who he first met in 2013 and got engaged to a year later.
Carroll has two young children with Billi and two from a previous relationship.
Friends of the couple say they are relieved that “nothing dreadful happened”, before adding: “This is all very bad timing with the wedding so close.”
Carroll previously reflected on the day he met Billi and spoke about how starting a family with her had changed his life for the better. Speaking in 2019, he said: “I met my missus, and we’ve got four kids living at home now.
“We’ve got animals. We’ve got responsibilities. There’s no more behaviour like it was, you know.
“I was stupid, I was young, and I was carried away with the lifestyle that I had.
“Now it’s completely different. I’m actually a dad. I’ve grown up, and got responsibilities, so . . . I’ve got a purpose.”
Billi was thrusted into the public eye after appearing on Towie in 2011 but left the show two years later to become a yoga teacher. She started up her own studio, Hot Yoga Essex, in 2013 but later stepped back and now teaches there occasionally.
Carroll joined West Brom in January after a spell at Reading following his release from Newcastle in the summer of 2021. He made 15 Championship appearances for West Brom, but will now be reevaluating his career.
