Amanda Staveley is reportedly ‘in talks’ with investing in another Premier League club just days after leaving Newcastle United.
She and her husband, Mehrdad Ghodoussi, became directors and minority co-owners of the Magpies in October 2021, in which they helped to get the £305 million takeover of the club by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) done in 2021.
The couple took a 10% stake in the Magpies, before their shares decreased to 6%, and this week, they confirmed the decision to step away and sell their remaining shares to PIF and the Reuben family.
Amanda Staveley, ex-Newcastle board member, is searching for her next football investment, with stakes in #Tottenham among the possible targets she’s exploring.
Staveley has recently raised about £500m and has been looking at football clubs to deploy the cash.

It seems Amanda Staveley, who is well-connected in the Gulf area, is wasting no time in finding a new club to help out, wanting to buy stakes in Tottenham, according to a person familiar with the matter, say Bloomberg.
A deal, if any, is likely to involve convertible preference shares, this person said.
Another potential club she’s looking at is Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco, the person said, who asked not to be identified as the information is private.
It’s important to note that these discussions are in the early stages and still could not lead to any transaction.
But Levy has previously said he’s open to selling a stake in the club. “I’ve got no real interest to leave Tottenham, but I have a duty to consider anything that anyone may want to propose,” he said.
She recently raised around £500 million ($649m) through her investment fund PCP Capital Partners and has already held talks over buying a minority stake with Rothschild & Co. who are an adviser to Spurs.
Tottenham are valued at around £2.9 billion ($3.8 billion) including debt, according to the consultancy group Football Benchmark.
Tottenham are looking far off being challengers for the Premier League and Champions League title, plenty of work to be done and any extra investment would enhance their changes of getting closer to that.
Ange Postecoglou guided them to a fifth place league finish, meaning they have qualified for the UEFA Europa League – League phase stage of the competition.

NEWCASTLE STATEMENT:
Newcastle United Football Club today announces that an agreement has been reached to change its ownership structure.
PIF and RB Sports & Media will increase their shareholdings in Newcastle United, as part of the long-term plan to develop the club and make it a consistently credible competitor in domestic and European competitions.
As part of this structural change, PIF and RB Sports & Media will together acquire PCP Capital Partners’ shareholding in the club and Amanda Staveley will step down from all her positions with Newcastle United.
Following this, the new shareholding structure will see PIF control around 85% and RB Sports & Media holding the remaining 15% stake in the club. These structural changes are expected to be completed during July 2024.
PIF, RB Sports & Media and the board of Newcastle United would like to thank Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi for the key role that they played in the acquisition of the club and their dedication to developing the framework for long-term success over the past two and a half years.
Commenting on the announcement, Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Chairman of Newcastle United, said: “Amanda and Mehrdad will forever have our tremendous thanks and well-wishes as they move on to focus on their other business interests.
“We have achieved so much together since 2021, including achieving Champions League football in our first full season as stewards of this incredible club.
“The ownership group, together with CEO Darren Eales and the club’s executive team, will continue to build on these foundations for long-term, sustainable success for the team and our amazing fans, and we are excited about the future prospects for Newcastle United.”
Amanda Staveley, Chief Executive Officer of PCP Capital Partners, said: “Newcastle United is such a special, unique club and being a co-owner of Newcastle United has been an honour.
“Mehrdad and I have loved being part of this club and community and are extremely proud of the progress Newcastle United has made in recent years.
“Our ambition has always been aligned to the brilliant fans of this club – to create consistently successful teams that regularly compete for major trophies and generate pride across the globe.
“We are grateful to have played our part in setting up the club for even more future success. We will remain fans for life.”

@Thfc_Romeooooo: AMANDAAAAA FROM DEEPP
@owenthfc__: Splash the dough amanda
@Shaun_Wren: If her money is coming from gulf, then we’re good thanks. Levy is doing a fantastic job without it
@THFCLondon1882: Hope this is true and they buy the whole club. We won’t do anything if baldy and his crooked uncle is here. They previously owned multiple clubs before spurs. Enic is here for the money and not football succes. They need to go asap and buy another club who they can make money off
@FootballViewe: This could be huge, hopefully the reason why business has been so slow
@BigBiggiemac46: That is absolutely something. Is that why transfers been slow?
@DaveHartwell1: Can’t decide if I like the sound of this or not.
@b85137: So she was a Trojan horse to get the Saudis into the EPL and after only two years now has no connections with Newcash so can whitewash other investors for another huge pay day 🤔 No thanks
@Lewismccullagh: Bring it on
@ToonMouthTyne: Thank you both for everything. You battled for 4 years to rid us of a parasitic infection that had plagued the Club for far too long. You never gave up hope, which also made us fans never give up hope. Once Owners, you changed the face of Newcastle United forever. #NUFC
@Mikeale89924753: Thank you @ghodoussi and Amanda. I can’t emphasise how much you have done for us fans. We are forever in your debt. You rescued this club from purgatory and gave us hope and ambition again. You brought back the respect to the clubs name!
@alanreay: Words cannot express the debt of gratitude owed. Determination, fortitude, inspiration, leadership, communication, passion and drive. A club will be forever thankful! #NUFC
@ukjohnburke: The hope the fans have now is all because of your will, determination and belief of what this club could achieve. From the bottom of my heart thank you Amanda and Mehrdad. We will be forever grateful.
