After learning that Aldershot Town have been reprieved as Gateshead lost their appeal to the FA – fans have their reaction to what it all meant…
A 'Get Out of Jail Free' card. Let's hope lessons have been learned.

Now can we have, at worst, a boring mid table season please??

Good luck to #Aldershot…Hopefully back in the @EFL in the near future @OfficialShots

Not something to celebrate Aldershot being back in the National League due to Gateshead’s demise but in football you have to take any opportunity you get

So Gateshead have been demoted and Aldershot have gotten a get out of jail free card. Would be funny if they went on to win the league next year. Hopefully Gateshead will be back once they’ve sorted their ownership out which is a complete mess

@JoeRapley8: Woking fans are gonna be fuminggggg
@guyjsburton: What a relief! Let’s make sure we do something with it though. Can’t handle playoffs to relegation within 12 months of each other!
@RyanRBoyd: Would’ve preferred a trip to Oxford City, but with the state Gateshead are in, it’s an easy 6 points to the end of season total.
@dickol1976: At least Gateshead can move on now, some big decisions for them to make in terms of full time/part time etc. For us it’s a trip to Gateshead rather then Oxford, decent NE trip. Wonder how the bank holiday fixtures will be sorted, you would assume Blyth/Gateshead would be a pair.
@dom_33: Gateshead relagated to the national league north?! That league next season = Gateshead, Blyth, Spenny, Darlington and york ???
@Heed_Army: As a sign of unity and strength we ask all Gateshead fans to change their profile picture to the club’s badge!! We still have the club!!!!! #heedarmy please like and share
