Aldershot Town have National League reprieve confirmed – more non league movements revealed

Aldershot Town have today had a National League reprieve confirmed by the league organisation.

Gateshead lost their appeal to the Football Association and the National League vote to reinstate the Shots who finished in the highest relegation place.

On the 24th of May, the National League suspended them, meaning they were unable to play in the tier below – National League North – so would have to drop to the Northern Premier League in 2019-20. However that doesn’t seem to be the case according to today’s news.

The club stated: “Following the National League’s Annual General Meeting today, Aldershot Town Football Club can confirm that we will compete in the Motorama National League for the 2019/20 season. The club will make no further comment.”

Gateshead (who was charged with multiple breaches of the league’s membership rules) have been revealed to be playing in the National League North next season.

Truro City have their relegation from the National League South confirmed.

Oxford City are now back in the National League South instead of the National League North.
