A second player, AFC Bournemouth’s Jordon Ibe, breaks lockdown rules for a haircut and has since apologised in a statement.
The former Liverpool midfielder will be investigated for posting a picture on Instagram of himself getting his new trim.
In the now deleted photo, he could be seen wearing a coat which had the slogan ‘Breaking the rules’. Fitting eh?
Both males can be seen wearing face masks, though Ibe claims he didn’t realise he was breaching lockdown rules. Something that seems to be the case with many top flight stars during this pandemic,
“I didn’t think it through and I apologise,” said the 24-year-old in a statement. “I made sure to wear protective equipment but I didn’t realise it was in breach of the guidelines.
“There wasn’t any intent to disobey the guidelines and as soon as it was brought to my attention, I took the post down immediately.”
Bournemouth confirmed they have launched an internal investigation, and the midfielder faces the prospect disciplinary action.
“We are aware of a social media post made by one of our players,” a club spokesman said in quotes reported by The Sun.
“We have launched an internal investigation, the outcome of which will remain confidential.”
Tottenham’s Serge Aurier has hit back after he was criticised for having a haircut – making it yet another lockdown breach from the defender.
After being slammed, Aurier said on Instagram: “My hairdresser is negative and me too so stop talking in a vacuum and put on masks and gloves when you come to take pictures at the training center its part of the rules too.”
Aurier had already been caught flouting lockdown rules when he and Moussa Sissoko met up to train.

Brainless stupidity of not just Jordon Ibe, but Serge Aurier and others who all breached lockdown rules and then thought ‘I’ll post this on Instagram” staggers me. It’s like eejits who rob somewhere, brag about it on social media and then wonder how police caught them. https://t.co/NVgK5TSHtG

Seriously how difficult is it, just for a haircut and to then publish it on social media just shows arrogance and ignorance!!
