9th tier club FC Romania have had no choice but to set up a donation page at the weekend to try and save them from folding.
The Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division outfit, who are based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, are on the verge of going under unless they secure a new investor, as per Ollie Bayliss.
They got to the playoff final, but lost to Leverstock Green, nonetheless a brilliant achievement for FC Romania in just getting to the final considering how this season was for them, without training and without financial support from November 2023.

On the 8th of June, they announced that they were looking for an Owner, Co-Owner, or Investors for FC Romania.
Then they tweeted on the 14th, saying: “We have been publicly searching for potential sponsorship and investors since October 2023. Unfortunately, the interest has been insignificant therefore a decision has been made to set a deadline on the clubs existence. We hope a deal can be settled before June 23rd.”

Help Support FC Romania a Community Football Club with Big Dreams!
Our Story
Founded in 2006 by a group of passionate Romanian immigrants in the UK, FC Romania started as a small, community-focused football club with a dream: to bring people together through the beautiful game. Over the years, our club has grown, moving through the ranks of English non-league football, and becoming a symbol of pride and unity for our supporters.
Our Mission
At FC Romania, we believe football is more than just a sport; it’s a way to build community, foster inclusivity, and inspire the next generation. Our mission is to provide opportunities for local talent, promote healthy living, and create a welcoming environment where everyone feels they belong.
The Challenge
Running a football club at our level requires significant financial resources. From player salaries and coaching staff to stadium maintenance, travel expenses, equipment, and youth development programs, the costs add up quickly. Unlike big-name clubs, we rely heavily on the support of our community and generous donors to keep our dreams alive.
Why We Need Your Help
We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to ensure FC Romania can continue to thrive and grow. Your contributions will directly support:
– Stadium and Facilities Maintenance: Keeping our home groundshare in top condition for match days.
-Travel Expenses: Covering costs for away games.
– Equipment and Kit: Providing our team with the necessary gear to train and compete.
– Youth Development Programs: Investing in the future of football by nurturing young talent.
– Medical and Insurance Costs: Ensuring our players have access to essential medical care and insurance.
Our Vision
With your support, we aim to strengthen our club both on and off the pitch. We want to climb higher in the league, improve our facilities, and expand our community outreach programs. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to achieving these goals.
We invite you to become part of the FC Romania family.
By donating to our GoFundMe campaign, you are not just supporting a football club; you are investing in a community, a tradition, and a dream that has brought joy to many. Together, we can ensure that FC Romania continues to be a beacon of hope and pride for years to come.
Thank you for your generosity and support!

@Ryan_Day29: Unbelievable to see this. Lots of great people associated with the club and was great to be apart of FC Romania last season on their play off run even if it was only a small part. Hopefully a buyer can be found in time!
@LinnetsTVJack: Sad to see another non-league side go to the wolves. Support your local. Your local non-league side will appreciate your money more than a Premier League team 50 miles away. Non-league is where the real football is and where the real fans are. Hope everything works out ๐๐
@mihai_mitroiu: Would be a proper shame to see these guys go!
