37 year old ex-Premier League and EFL striker trains with 7th tier side in search for 12th club of career

37 year old ex-Premier League and EFL striker Adam Le Fondre trains with 7th tier side FC United in search for the 12th club of career.

It was on the 10th of June 2024 when Le Fondre was on the released list for Hibernian, after one season in Leith, in which he made 29 appearances and scored five goals.

Now it has come to light through the player’s social media that he has been training with Northern Premier League Premier Division club FC United of Manchester.

That is no doubt until he finds a new club to sign for, making it his 12th different team potentially, having previously played for Stockport, Rochdale, Rotherham, Reading, Cardiff, Bolton, Wolves, Wigan, Bolton, Sydney, Mumbai City and Hibernian.

On Tuesday (2 June) Adam Le Fondre wrote: “Another tough session in the bank πŸ€―πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€£”

One user replied: “I’m guessing you had plenty of clubs . Who did you sign for”

To which he said: “I’m training with my mate @FCUnitedMcr at the minute until I get sorted πŸ‘πŸ»”

A Rotherham fan said: “1 last go in league 1 with the millers Alf 😜”

ALF added: “🀣🀣🀣 Tbf I do owe Rotherham a promotion 🀣🀣”

He recently appeared on the I had Trials Once YouTube channel, joining Jordan & Gaz with a sit down chat, talking about a variety of topics including the early years at Stockport and Rochdale to finally achieving his dream of scoring in the Premier League.

He also talks about:

– The brilliance of Keith Hill and David Flitcroft at Rochdale and the importance of their man management skills.

– His incredible spells at Rotherham and Reading where he went from playing in League Two to playing in the Premier League in the space of 12 months.

– How he achieved every kids dream by not only reaching the Premier League but having a successful individual season scoring 12 goals including one against his boyhood club, Manchester United.

Part two of this is due to be uploaded online soon. In that, he discusses his time at Bolton, difficult loan moves as well as his time in Australia and India before talking about what’s next for the front man.
