It’s been another eventful weekend of football in non league as three clubs have been crowned champions but also two ended up getting relegated.
The first team from yesterday to have won their league, was Bowers & Pitsea from the Isthmian Football League North Division for the first time ever.
The 2015 FA Vase semi finalists came out 4-0 winners over Dereham Town to win the title, goals coming from David Knight (third hat-trick of the season) and Lewis Clark.
The club now believe they ‘are following a similar path to Concord Rangers’, who are now in the National League South.

The next team to clinch the title yesterday was Hayes & Yeading United of the Isthmian Football League South Central Division, as they beat Chipstead 1-0.
They have incredibly scored 119 goals in 34 games so far this season and are 16 points clear of Bracknell Town in second.

The final club to have won their league was Dorking Wanderers of the Isthmian Football League Premier Division.
A crowd of over a 1,000 turned up to watch them win 3-0 against play-off chasing Worthing and get promotion to the National League South as champions – an incredible achievement for a side who were only formed 19 years ago.

We move on to relegations now, the first team to have the dreaded ‘R’ placed next to their name was Maidstone United in the National League.
A 2-0 to promotion chasing Salford City saw the Kent side have a likely place in the National League South confirmed for the first time in three seasons.
And lastly, Nuneaton Borough, who had a troubling season, have been relegated from the National League North following a 3-2 defeat to Chester.

Difficult to take for the Boro, but another encouraging performance ahead of next season.
