A young Man Utd fan shares his dislike for Alejandro Garnacho only for the club to gift him a shirt with the name of Garnacho on the back.
Before his side’s come-from-behind Premier League win against Brentford on Saturday, presenter Zarah Connolly had a special surprise for a supporter.
Presenter Zarah Connolly: What do you think of him?
Kid: I don’t really like him
Presenter Zarah Connolly: You don’t really like him?!
*Kid nods*
Presenter Zarah Connolly: Oh, well this is going to be very interesting this. Because, we actually spoke to the team to let them know about you today, and this is going to be quite funny to be fair, going to be quite interesting. Because the team have all decided that they wanted to gift you a shirt and tell you how happy they all are that you are part of the Manchester United family. You’re going to really giggle at who is on the back now. Because this is what the team wanted to gift you today after we told them. You’ve got a Garnacho shirt! I mean, here you go.

The MUTV presenter soon revealed the fan – named Cameron – had been extremely grateful for the present.
She posted on Twitter: “After this, he literally give me a big hug and said thank you! 🫶
“He’s a trooper. We found out before the game that Cameron just finished chemo two weeks ago and we wanted to give him a treat from his United family! 🙏
“My bad that we got a player he wasn’t a fan of 🤣.”
Cameron watched on as Scott McTominay’s two late goals saw Man Utd beat Brentford 2-1.
McTominay netted twice in stoppage time to clinched the win after Mathias Jensen benefited from Andre Onana’s blunder.
The result now means that Erik ten Hag’s side climb up to ninth after avoiding third defeat at Old Trafford in a row.

Player of the match: Scott McTominay (Man Utd)
Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag: “You are relieved in that moment when, once again a game that was turning the wrong way for us, we found a turning point. It showed the big character in this team, resilience and that we have a plan to keep going and you have to make your own luck. We kept patience, carried on, even after the disallowed goal – which was justified. I’m really proud of this team. They kept going the whole game. The belief was there.
“It tells you something about the dressing room that a player coming on for five minutes brings that spirit on the pitch and fights for the badge. McTominay is United.
“The performance can always be better but it can’t happen you give a goal away. There were some good spells, we controlled the game over long periods. But when you give a goal away so easily, we can’t do it at our level. We have to take more responsibility and be accountable to win games.
“You have to find a moment in the season you can build on – I think we have found it now. This game reflects a lot of our season start, the mistake… but then the comeback, the personality, the character. This has to be a turning point. We know we have to change, reset.”
Brentford boss Thomas Frank: “Football is brutal in moments like this. We did so many things right – we pressed high when we could, we were good on the counters, we were brave, defended well and well deserved 1-0.
“Of course second half at Old Trafford you’ll be under pressure, which we were, but I thought we defended well. I didn’t think we gave any big chances away until they scored.
“Then to lose the game was even more brutal. I know they were a lot on the ball, I think at least a draw was a fair reflection. It was close to being the perfect away performance.”
