Yeovil Town take a lighthearted swipe at under-fire Man Utd keeper David De Gea after he posted via his social media account this week.
The Spaniard had many fans left confused after tweeting two circle emojis to over 12 million of his followers, one green, and the other white.
It caught the attention of the Glovers, a team who sit in the fifth tier of English football, who decided to jokingly ended any potential ‘transfer links’.
The National League outfit simply wrote: “Nah not interested, sorry David…”, taking a cheeky dig at the 29-year-old’s poor form between the sticks at Old Trafford this season.

All was eventually explained regarding De Gea’s cryptic tweet, which turned out to be a message in support of his beloved Elche prior to the Spanish second division side’s play-off semi-final clash with Real Zaragoza.
The keeper was in talks over a £16m bid to buy Elche last year, according to reports, so he would have been desperate to see them return to La Liga for the first time since relegation in 2015 – with the first-leg of the side’s semi-final ending in a goalless draw.
There was a time not so long ago that De Gea was once touted as the world’s best No 1, however he’s had a shocker of a season, what that he’ll want to forget quick with many an error including one hell of a howler against Tottenham Hotspur and two clangers against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final.

Sergio Romero replaced him for United’s Europa League knockout fixtures which has help earn them a place as far as the semi-finals, however the Argentine’s place in the squad is also under threat with Dean Henderson, who spent the season on loan at Sheffield United, could potentially be set to take over as the Red Devils’ main keeper going into the 2020-21 campaign.
It’s not the first time that someone associated with Yeovil have mocked Manchester United.
Back in 2015, the two sides played each other in the FA Cup, which saw a huge turnout at Huish Park (an attendance of 9,264).
Yeovil fans were photographed trying their best to unsettle the Premier League outfit, by creating a several banners, some of which focused on United’s fierce rivals City, with another banner suggesting that the Somerset side would rather have been drawn against the last season’s Premier League champions.

The game ended in a 2-0 defeat by Man Utd, who at the time were managed by Louis van Gaal. Ander Herrera’s spectacular strike just after the hour and a second from at the time British record signing (£59.7m) Angel Di Maria.

They two sides came face to face in the same cup competition once again back in 2018, however it was another defeat for Yeovil Town, this time a 4-0 win, following goals from Marcus Rashford, Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku. Darren Way was manager of the Glovers whilst Jose Mourinho was in charge for United.
The game saw Alexis Sanchez make his debut having just signed for Man Utd, what a flop move that turned out to be eh?!
It was one of a minority of games that he impressed in, he started the game, put in an impressive performance, then left the field after just over 70 minutes.
He was awarded the man of the match award by the BBC but Yeovil took to Twitter to question the decision.
They side tweeted: “Alexis is announced as man of the match. Not sure who picked it but that’s a commercially-driven decision if ever there was one!”

Again, it went viral, picking up over 25,000 likes, along with thousands of retweets and replies.
Jose Mourinho was full of praise of his newest recruit after he made his debut days after signing from Arsenal.
“He is a fantastic addition,” Mourinho told BBC Sport.
“His choice for the second goal is a choice that a player like Marcus Rashford is too nervous to make.”
“Good players want good players,” he added.
“The question is always which one is going to be left out, it is not about that for us.”
Oh how that move ended so badly!
