Wrexham v Eastleigh ended up having to be halted for EIGHT minutes with players and staff in a 30-man brawl as full time approached on Tuesday.
On the 84th minute, the referee stopped the game after Dean Keates attempted to retrieve the ball off an Eastleigh man out of play.
The Wrexham Twitter account states that replays showed that a head pushed towards the Red Dragons manager Keates, who ended up getting sent off for what happened.

The game played out to a 2-2 draw that seemed to have everything, goals, fighting, sending offs and a whole lotta passion from both sides.
The 17th minute saw the visitors go ahead, Joe Tomlinson fired one from range and it beat Dibble in goal.
Just before the half time whistle, Wrexham were back on level terms, Tomlinson’s strike was cancelled out by a deflected Hall Johnson strike late on in the half.
The Reds saw Fiacre Kelleher dismissed early in the second half and Eastleigh soon converted a penalty, Tomlinson tucking away making it 2-1 to the Spitfires on the 49th minute.
Young fired a ball across the box, after some good work with Reckord. Ponticelli potentially flicked it on at the near post, but Thomas came in at the back to fire it home, making it 2-2 with 20 minutes to play.
Wrexham, who don’t have a game this weekend, have now lost once in just 13 games and remain fourth in the National League table with an eye for promotion to League Two.

@n_rhys: Should have been a red card for the Eastleigh player because it looked like he headbutted Dean! Pathetic!
@GlynJ97: Reading these replies are funny. When Bern or Jonno gets sent off, Wrexham fans start calling them all sorts. When it’s there own manager, it’s because it’s passion. Couldn’t make it up
@_NathanRowlands: Wtf is this referee
@DanWrexham: OH MY CHRIST THE COACHING STAFF AND THE PLAYERS ARE ALL FIGHTING EACH OTHER HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
@culturedleftpeg: First manager sent off in Wrexham history? I seem to remember Sir Denis getting a red at Tranmere away after throwing a water bottle around. Same game Pej had a stormer and Chris Armstrong scored a beauty.
@Welsh_Dragon_71: @TheVanaramaNL, can you please explain why Eastleigh’s Ben House is allowed to headbutt the Wrexham manager and the referee fails to send him off? Ben House MUST be banned and the referee must be demoted!
@Nic_Nac_Ola: Would bloody love to be at the racecourse for this one!
@TheWrexhamWay: Keates donates a hundred quid so young carers can see himself start a 30 man ruckus and get sent off. What a man 🤣🤣🤣
@Wrexhamisdname: Batter them
@beardywxm: Im trying my best to not like Dean Keates and hes just being an absoloite fucking legend.
@yetigoosecreat: Some seriously dodgy refereeing in the Wrexham match tonight by all accounts. Verging on the barely believable. Wonder what the betting markets look like…
@poopremespatty: FUCK THIS FUCKING REF
@Suebo444: Now that is the fight I want to see @Wrexham_AFC said the words shithouse too many times in the last 45mins #WxmAFC
@ashwills87: @Wrexham_AFC showing some fight in more ways than one here.
@dazjones_9: Slash their tyres
@dannyodanny: I saw your manager get physical with a Eastleigh player pushing him around. Not very professional. Your biased commentators said keates instigated it
@proberts104a: Video will be submitted in Keates defence and House will face retrospective action as ref did not see it !!!
@DanWxm89: Love it DK! Wrong decision from the ref but Christ it’s nice to see some 🔥 from the dugout. Remember being at Sutton away 2019 wondering if there was anything inside you… Let’s go! 👊👊
@jos3phwl: @TheVanaramaNL Stevie fucking wonder is a better ref than the tosser you’ve given the Wrexham game to.
@TheWrexhamWay: Bloody hell if it was always that exciting no one would be complaining. Eastleigh so shaky at the back. Should have taken it to them from the off with 11 men!! Still, value for money tonight. Lot of passion on show.
@DanWrexham: Keates is lucky that Eastleigh fat cunt didn’t eat him
@Welsh_Dragon_71: @TheVanaramaNL, can you please explain why Eastleigh’s Ben House is allowed to headbutt the Wrexham manager and the referee fails to send him off? Ben House MUST be banned and the referee must be demoted!
@dodgewrexham: All we ask for is 110% and passion and pride and we got that tonight absolutely fucking love d the passion on show tonight great point well in lads!!! My respect for keates has shot up hes finally shown a bit of passion fucking love it
