A woman claims Jonjo Shelvey put on his own highlights after enduring a night out with his fellow teammates, with the story going viral.
Her visit to Shelvey’s house has gone viral across social media after she says he put on highlights of his time at Newcastle for her to watch, and had a photo to prove it after people doubted her.
The Premier League player, 31, who currently plays for Nottingham Forest, was enjoying time with Chris Wood.
The pair, along with Jesse Lingard, ended up back at Shelvey’s place, but their get together has since been viewed by thousands of football fans due to the female who was also there with a message on a dating app site.
In a response to the Hinge prompt ‘Most spontaneous thing I’ve done’, Sophie wrote: ‘Go back to Jonjo Shelvey’s with Lingard and Chris Wood while he proceeds to put his own football clips on YouTube for us to watch, see below.’

A screenshot of her Hinge profile was put on Twitter and it soon went viral, with Newcastle and Nottingham Forest fans stunned at what they were seeing.
When she questioned if she had been telling the truth, she shared a Snapchat photo from a sofa watching ‘Jonjo Shelvey – The Playmaker (Skills & Goals Newcastle United).
The YouTube compilation highlights video has currently had over 75,000 views.
The 10-minute video of his showreel has been uploaded by NUFC Comps and displays some of Shelvey’s moments from his time at Newcastle, who he played for between 2016 and 2023.
Nottingham-based Sophie appears to be an Arsenal fan, posing in a Gunners’ shirt on her dating profile and also shows off her legs in the video within Shelvey’s place.
