Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently enjoying being in Europe for the first time after almost 40 years and today they have found out their opponents in the latest Europa League draw.
Wolves came in at the Second Qualifying Round knocked out Crusaders (NIR) 6-1 on aggregate, winning 2-0 at Molineux in the first leg and 4-1 over in Northern Ireland last week.
Over the next two weeks, they take on FC Pyunik from Armenia, who beat Czech side Jablonec 2-1 over the two legs.
Wolves were seeded for this afternoon’s Playoff draw with opponents Legia Warszawa (POL) / Atromitos (GRE), FCSB (ROU) / Mlada Boleslav (CZE) and Haugesund (NOR) / PSV Eindhoven (NED) – those unseeded were Torino (ITA) / Shakhtyor Soligorsk (BLR), Ventspils (LVA) / Vitoria SC (POR), Austria Wien (AUT) / Apollon Limassol (CYP) and Midtjylland (DEN) / Rangers (SCO).
Again like the previous draw, Wolves fans want the Scottish Premiership side, but want to avoid Italian club Torino.
Well the draw was made at 12:30pm today and Wolves have been drawn with Torino (ITA) / Shakhtyor Soligorsk (BLR).
The first leg of the playoff-round matches are scheduled to take place away on Thursday 22nd August, before the second legs on Thursday 29th August.
