Where does your club’s attendance rank compared to other sides across Europe? We’ve decided to take a look and list the top 400.

Data is with help from Worldfootball, FootballWebPages and Transfermarkt for each country’s most recent season. Some of the nations included are England, Scotland, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, Turkey, Holland, Belgium, Greece, Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Romania, Norway and Hungary.

It is well known that football is nothing without the fans, a new study has compiled a list of clubs with the highest average attendance in the 21st century.

During the peak of the covid pandemic, fans had to watch football without a crowd, the supporters were replaced by banners and there were added background noise on TV coverages in order to give viewers a more authentic experience.

And it was during those times that we all realised how important a crowd is for a team trying to win. There were more away wins than ever when games had to be played behind closed doors.

Fans have a huge impact on football, when a stadium is packed full of supporters, the atmosphere is second to none, it gives the home team an extra lift before and during the match. And most importantly, it can strike fear into the opposition.

Now leagues are getting back to normal across the world, with fans in the stands, we check out where our Premier League and EFL sides rank, who they have a similar attendance to with clubs elsewhere in Europe. So without further ado, take a look below, we tried our best with this list as it can be tough to find and sort…
