West Ham star pleas for help after his car tyres are slashed

A West Ham star pleas for help on social media after unfortunately having his car tyres are slashed by a vandal passing by on a bike.

Michail Antonio shared footage that showed a man cycle up and use a sharp object to stab the tyre on a £50,000 Audi vehicle.

The culprit then chose to do the same to a £150,000 Mercedes G Wagon parked outside his flat in Wapping which is based in East London, at around 2:40am on Tuesday.

£70k-a-week Antonio posted CCTV footage of the disgusting attack on Instagram, which was captioned: “I really don’t understand… There is a guy going around Wapping slashing tyres! Anyone know who he is?

“He got a few cars including mine so if you’re in the area keep an eye out.”

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.

The attack comes days after he hit four goals past Norwich to send the Canaries back down to the Championship.

Incredibly, he became the first player in more than three years to score four goals in a Premier League away game.

Two goals in both halves from Antonio meant he became the ninth player in Prem history to achieve the impress four-goal feat.

It’s not the first time that West Ham star Antonio has had trouble with his car as seven months ago he crashed his Lamborghini into house front garden on Christmas Day dressed as a snowman.

The midfielder smashed the Huracan, worth £210,000, into the bin shed of 20 year old Kia Rosina’s bin shed when she was about to eat Christmas dinner with her family in Balham, South London at 6.30pm.

The Premier League player had earlier posted an Instagram video of himself a snowman costume singing “Walking in the Air”, the theme tune from the much loved classic ‘The Snowman’.

Kia told The Athletic: “Dinner was nearly ready and then I just heard this massive bang and the whole house shook.

“There are two bin sheds out there and they’re both bricks, and they went everywhere.

“At first, I thought it was a bus due to how loud the bang was. I looked outside and then I said, ‘Mum!’ then we ran outside to see if whoever was in the car was fine.”

Her mum said: “I put my arm around him (Antonio) because I was worried.

“I called the police and I asked for all the services, ambulance and fire brigade, because my main concern was that it was petrol and everyone would have to get out of the house because a lot of smoke was coming from his car.

“So I was fearing the worst like, ‘What if the car blows up?’

“He (Antonio) was on the phone shouting to someone saying he was alright.

“He kept saying, ‘Don’t keep telling me I’m stupid!’ to the person on the phone (and saying), ‘You should be asking me if I’m alright’.

“(It seemed like) the person on the phone kept having a go at him.”

A crowd of people turned up to watch him get himself out of the vehicle.

A Metropolitan Police statement said: “Police were called to Nightingale Lane, Balham, at 18.36hrs on Wednesday, 25 December to reports of a car crashed into a garden. Officers attended and a Lamborghini car was found at the scene.

“It was reported that it had left the road and crashed into a road sign and a garden wall. The driver did not require hospital treatment. There were no other reported injuries. There is no police investigation.”

Reports initially claimed that he refused to apologise for the crash, however he has since contacted the family.

Sportsmail understood that Antonio was keen to express his regret and sympathy to the family. He has also offered to pay for the damage caused by the smash.

Jane Wonham said: “I presume he must have run a red light because my one to the right of him was green.”

Nosheen Saher, who lives in an apartment above the shed Antonio smashed into, said: “He told me he was absolutely fine. When I asked him what had happened, he said that his costume had fallen in front of his eyes and then he crashed.”
