“The second goal… I’ve let the players know it’s my favourite goal since we got here. Not just the finish from Wes, which is incredible, but for the patience in the build-up and waiting for the right moment, staying calm and then the execution at the exact right moment.  

“We had committed one extra body to the press, which Conor (Chaplin) then recognised and found the big switch to get the tempo change we got with the runners through the pitch, then another switch before the finish. 

“We’ve scored some great team goals and some fantastic individual ones, but that was a wonderful balance of both.”
