Villa fan and Forest player Joe Lolley takes aim at Birmingham then deletes his tweet

Joe Lolley has appeared to take aim at Birmingham City following the club’s managerial departure of Garry Monk earlier this week.

The boss leaves after a troubled second half of the season behind closed doors at St Andrew’s and a 17th place finish in the Championship following the nine-point deduction for breaking FFP guidelines.

After learning of the news Villa target and fan Joe Lolley, currently playing for Nottingham Forest, took to slam his boyhood club’s rivals.

Former Rotherham United midfielder Joe Newell (now at Hibernian) tweeted of the news, it read: “Garry Monk gone. Just when the club is getting a bit of stability and going in the right direction after a bad few years we f*** it up. Just don’t get #BCFC.”

Lolley saw it and replied back in a now-deleted tweet: “Typical of a small s*** club x.”

The digs continued…

Villa fans saw the tweet from Lolley and could only love him even more for what he had to say.

In the last week or so, Forest have decided not to accept £15m for Lolley, putting doubt on linked clubs Villa or Crystal Palace snapping him up. It will be interesting to see how the transfer situation plays out, will he stay or will he head for top flight football?

After checking out Lolley having a dig at Birmingham for losing manager Garry Monk, fans took to give their reaction, many Villans loving what they were seeing – check out what they wrote on the next page.
