VIDEO: Young pitch invader legs it onto pitch at West Ham during red card VAR check

A young pitch invader managed to legs it onto pitch during a red card VAR check at West Ham‘s draw against Everton on Saturday.

The kid produced what fans have called the best moment of the match by running onto the field of play to keep everyone entertained whilst waiting for a decision to be made from the referee.

As could be seen in the clip, he could be seen trying his hardest to dodge the stewards and security, something he succeeded in doing a few times.

The pint-sized supporter ended up being taken away by two stewards, but you could tell he was having the time of his life as he beared a huge smile on his face whilst getting cheered from those in the stands he was going past.

After being asked what happened to the young pitch invader and if he was reunited with his family, Met Police West Ham United replied back, “He was and don’t think he will be doing it again in a hurry.”

The incident was the highlight for many as they watched what has been described as a bore draw, despite there being two goals.

The Toffees looked dull in the first half, which West Ham took advantage of by going ahead on the 40th minute thanks to Issa Diop heading in from Robert Snodgrass’ free-kick from the right touchline.

However that kicked Everton on to provide more spark, which they did four minutes later when Dominic Calvert-Lewin grabbed a spectacular diving header after Mason Holgate flicked on Lucas Digne’s corner.

Calvert-Lewin has now been tipped to make the England team after bagging his 11th goal of the season, and could earn himself a call-up with Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy backing down and Tottenham’s Harry Kane looking likely to miss Euro 2020.

No more goals were added to the scoresheet for the second half and the game ended a 1-1 draw.

It means Everton remain 11th in the Premier League table, and West Ham stay 16th but are only one point ahead of Aston Villa who sit 18th.
