Yannick Bolasie goes viral for being given softest red card you’ve ever seen, football really has gone soft these days.
Yes, this familiar name was a dangerous player for Crystal Palace back in his Premier League days, but right now, the Everton owned footballer is at Sporting Lisbon, and he was at the centre of a controversial incident earlier this month.
His side won 4-2 win over Portimonense after being behind 2-1 at half time, then were down to ten men for half of the game. Bolasie was that player that saw red, and it’s fair to say harsh is an understatement.
The winger was adjudged to have ‘lashed out’ at the opposition player who went down to ground very easily. Bolasie took to Twitter to take the piss.

This game took place in the Portuguese League Cup, where Sporting had advanced to the semi-finals. Though you could say they’ve have a disappointing season in the league, sitting third place but are 13 points behind leaders Benfica.
