VIDEO: Viewers slam Matt Le Tissier for celebrating whilst Jeff Stelling gave injury update on Jack Clarke

Leeds United have given an update on the condition of footballer Jack Clarke, who fell ill during their game against Middlesbrough earlier today.

The teenage winger – who started the game but came off at half time – was complaining that he felt not right before paramedics rushed to the substitutes bench took him away a stretcher before being checked out in the dressing room, then went to hospital.

A club statement said: “Jack Clarke began to feel unwell during the second half of our Championship fixture with Middlesbrough and received medical attention.

“The player is responsive and attending hospital with the club’s head of medicine and performance.

“On behalf of everyone at Leeds United, we would like to thank the medical staff from both clubs for their response to the incident.”

Manager Marcelo Bielsa told BBC Radio Leeds: “What we know is that he didn’t feel well. We don’t really know the reasons yet.

“When he was taken to the dressing room, he was better. He was taken to the hospital to see if everything is all right.”

Boro boss Tony Pulis also commented: “The more important thing is making sure the boy, fingers crossed, is ok and recovers because he is a very, very talented young player.

“All of our thoughts from Middlesbrough go to the lad.”

Matt Le Tissier has been slammed on Twitter when shouting “GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLL!” on Sky Sports News as Jeff Stelling was updating viewers of Jack Clarke’s situation. Fair to say Stelling didn’t look impressed…
