A dramatic late winner in a League One match this afternoon has seen a couple of supporters get taken away after the celebrations spilled out onto the pitch.
Host side Rochdale got themselves in front after 28 minutes thanks to Ian Henderson finding the net to break the deadlock.
Relegation threatened Dale came close again when Oliver Rathbone’s dipping half-volley from distance bounces just wide of the upright.
The Black Cats got themselves level just around 10 minutes into the second half when Charlie Wyke held off the defender, turned, and then fired into the bottom corner.
Then in the 88th minute, George Honeyman sent the 3,378 Sunderland fans absolutely bonkers.
The goalscorer legged it towards the celebrating away end then slid down the touchline before a few fans ran on to join the players. One of them got back into the stand, two however looked to be whisked away by security.
