An English Sunday League match had to be bizarrely halted mid-game due to on-foot police chase on pitch in and around players.
A video of it was uploaded to social media on the 20th of February, and it left everyone baffled, with the incident over in a matter of seconds.
Grays Athletic Sundays played host to South East Sports FC in the Ted Fairchild Cup, with the away side coming away with the win, 2-0, and booked a place in the semi final.
However, the game overshadowed by the funniest thing that’s ever happened in the history of Sunday League according to Grays Athletic Sundays.
They added along with the video: “Police chase mid-game, running through a match probably not the brightest idea.”

As can be seen in the video clip, five officers were on the pitch by the time the culprit had been tackled to ground and handcuffed.
The spectator watching on can be heard in the clip saying how amused she was at the drama that was playing out in front of her.
Amateur footballers at stood there unsure what on earth to do, waiting to be able to resume with the arrested male then helped up onto his feet and is taken away.
Those watching on had no clue as to the reason behind the arrest, however the unique moment has left quite an impression on everyone at the game, and it’s certainly a story to tell for days to come.

Ian Renshaw: The thug looks a right wrong un as well
Billy Anderson: where was he even trying to run to
Phil Fletcher: The only thing I can think of is he was heading towards those houses, doing some fence jumping, but like mentioned surely thats just gunna make it a tougher task for himself, he’ll be knackered out running across the pitch by the time he reached the first fence
Ry Teenan: The utter walk of shame
Louie Campbell: baffled as to why he thought it would be a good idea to run onto the pitch, literally asking for trouble and to make yourself more of a target arent ya?!
Howard Duffy: Bet thats a new one for the referee to put down in his note book “match temporarily stopped due to police arresting a random male”
Liam Osbourne: literally five officers and one offender, sounds like he did well to take all of them all
Jake Harrison: Need to get myself to one of these games, trust this to happen in London though
Tim Reed: all i wanted to do was watch the match in peace and then up rocks all these officers and some guy legging it onto the pitch interrupting the game the cocky git
Reece Cundy: This is just jokes
