Ryan Shawcross suffered a horrifying leg break injury during his side’s pre-season friendly against Leicester City.
He slid in to challenge winger Marc Albrighton minutes prior to half-time and won the ball with his right foot, though left his left leg out and it buckled.
Players and fans inside the stadium were left standing anxiously waiting for more news, before watching Shawcross be taken off the pitch eight minutes after the incident happened and he made way to hospital.

In 2010, Shawcross was involved in another sickening incident when his horror challenge on Aaron Ramsey left the Welshman with a snapped tibia and fibula.
Shortly after the incident, Shawcross revealed Ramsey had blanked his advances to make contact and apologise.
He said to the Telegraph: “It probably affected my persona in public.
“You seem to get labelled quickly and it sticks sometimes. It was an accident and it wasn’t me who had the broken leg. So no-one should feel sorry for me,” he insisted.
“There are lots of columns written about me, for some reason, and it’s never about how well I’m playing and usually it’s about me kicking people or how I play.
“I would never say I was the cleanest player but my disciplinary record is not too bad.
“It didn’t make me change my game but with experience you change. The older I’ve got the more I’ve realised that if you use your head more you don’t have to make rash tackles.”
