Fans have been left outraged after Daniel Ayala escaped what is being called a ‘blatant red card’ when elbowing Patrick Bamford in the face during Saturday’s clash.
The incident came in the first half of Leeds United’s 4-0 win over Middlesbrough to move top of the Championship.

Ayala sarcastically applauded Bamford who went down following the obstruction which went unnoticed by the referee or the assistant who had good views, neither a yellow or red was given, though the Boro defender did get booked when he went for the striker again in the second half.
Some would say karma came back to bite them after Bamford then nutmegged Ayala at one point during the game, having the home fans in the delight then Mateusz Klich’s first goal deflected off him.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the defeat also did nothing to help Middlesbrough’s bid to climb away from the relegation zone, with Jonathan Woodgate’s side only one point above the drop and many called for him to be sacked.
After watching Daniel Ayala’s elbow on Bamford, Leeds fans took to slam the Spanish centre-back – check out what they had to say by clicking on the next page.
