VIDEO: Mourinho held back by stewards after being provoked by Chelsea staff member

A late equaliser from Ross Barkley saw heated scenes on the touchline as Jose Mourinho clashed with one of the Chelsea staff.

Antonio Rudiger put United one up in the first half from a corner but Anthony Martial scored twice in 20 minutes to turn the scoreline around.

With seconds remaining, Barkley was there to stab it in, however amongst the wild celebrations on the bench, Mourinho was provoked by Chelsea staff member.

Watch the moment unfold in the video below…

When interviewed after the game, Mourinho was asked about what had happened in the incident, and the Red Devils boss refused to talk about it.

The Sky Sports interviewer asked, “What happened at the end?”, Mourinho replied, “Oh come on, I can tell you that 97 minutes of the game was so good that you have to focus on that.

“I did not get respect back from Chelsea [fans] but that is not my responsiblity. What I did here today I will do in Madrid, in Milan, in Porto, the reaction from the fans is not up to me.

“I am not annoyed with anything. What happened with Sarri’s assistant, Sarri was the first one to come to me and say he will resolve it. The assistant has already come to me and apologised, I told him to forget it. I have made a lot of mistakes in my career.”

Social media users were stunned about what had happened with many taking to mock Mourinho’s reaction – check out what they’re saying on the next page.
