Harry Maguire somehow escapes red card for challenge on Michy Batshuayi during tonight’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and Manchester United.
Fans have been left furious with the referee’s called, blasting ‘VARchester United’ on social media after Maguire getting his studs on Batshuayi’s crotch.
The Manchester United defender cleared the ball down the line in the 21st minute as he went tumbling to the floor at a loud Stamford Bridge.
Maguire, who signed for the Red Devils for £80m last summer, accidentally caught the Chelsea striker with his leg and VAR found that there was no foul play in the kick from the 26-year-old United captain.

Roy Keane said at half time: “He’s very lucky. A very lucky boy. Maguire, maybe because it’s his personality, he seems like a calm lad, he definitely kicks out. I think they look at it and ask if he’s a nasty player.”

How is VAR looking at both these incidents and coming up with a red card and no red card?
Lack of consistencey makes it fucking pointless pic.twitter.com/d1VsoHD6A9

That is a fucking absolute joke. Show me one difference between what Maguire just did and what Son did to Rudiger?
VAR is not consistent.

Harry Maguire with the dumbest foul of the season, he could've easily been sent off. VAR with another shocking decision.

I'm just confused as to how Son got a red card for his tackle vs Rudiger but Maguire who clearly puts some serious force with his kick gets a pass. Very strange.
