As you could imagine, the large following of Stockport made themselves heard loud and clear, compared to the moans and groans that were produced from the Welsh side’s supporters.
Though they were so frustrated with the score and the usual digs from away fans beside them, some took if too far and threw bottles towards the gloating lot. Coins were also chucked about.

After the game, Wrexham manager Bryan Hughes said: “I don’t think we deserved to lose that game, we did enough to win it. But we have lost it and the players are devastated in the dressing room.
“I can’t legislate for their first goal because it’s an individual error and it puts them on the front foot and gives them something to hold on to.
“I thought in the second half we really took the game to them. But it was too late in the end.”
