VIDEO: Dele Alli gives perfect response after being hit by bottle during derby

During the North London derby last night, Tottenham’s Dele Alli brilliantly taunted the Arsenal fans after he was hit by a bottle thrown at him.

The incident came not too long after Alli put Spurs 2-0 up, he was near the touchline waiting for the Gunners to take a throw in, but then he got struck by a plastic bottle thrown from the home fans, and then he gave a perfect response.

Of course, Alli seems bothered by what had happened, before he then tried to let go of it as he then cheekily reacted with a 2-0 gesture to fans.

Watch the moment for yourself in the video below…

After the game, when asked of the incident, Alli told Sky Sports: “It is what it is. It made the goal a bit sweeter and the win.”

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino also stated: “In a different country, maybe they close the stadium for a few games.

“It’s lucky it wasn’t a big problem but I think people need to be careful, and we need to try and avoid this type of action. Some people behave very bad.”

It has been reported that police are now investigating the situation and looking at the CCTV to find the thrower. The Football Association are also aware of what happened.

Arsenal fans have since asked the question, will the FA remind Alli of his responsibilities?

It was a gesture that Theo Walcott did towards the Tottenham supporters whilst be stretchered off back in 2014.

The Daily Cannon say they have “no desire to see Alli get banned for that gesture (banned for existing is another matter), but after Theo Walcott did the same thing, the media uproar resulted in him being ‘reminded of his responsibilities’ by the FA.”

Football fans quickly took to social media to react to the incident with plenty praising how Dele Alli dealt with it, many however vented out their anger at the mindless actions from the Gunners fan – take a look at those tweets on the next page.
