Brighton‘s Alireza Jahanbakhsh scores goal of the season contender with overhead kick against Chelsea on New Years Day.
It was enough to give Graham Potter’s side a deserved point in what turned out to be a good game to watch in the end.

It came in the the 83rd minute, Leandro Trossard whipped a dangerous corner into the box and England international Lewis Dunk headed the ball across the box.
With the ball floating in the air, Jahanbakhsh pulled off an insane overhead kick to fire the ball into the back of the net. Chelsea stopper Kepa was left rooted to his spot.
It cancelled out Cesar Azpilicueta’s third goal of the season when he fired in from close range after 10 minutes when Tammy Abraham’s shot was blocked by Aaron Mooy.
Fair to say one of the first Premier League games of the new decade has ended with a bang thanks to this magical effort.
The point extends fourth-placed Chelsea’s advantage over Manchester United in fifth to five points. Brighton move up a place to 13th in the Premier League table, above Burnley on goal difference.
