Video footage has emerged appearing to show a clash between Bolton Wanderers and Peterborough United fans on a train and at a station.
It’s believed that the trouble happened after the League One clash, with police officers involved and also were struck by numerous objects.
The groups involved are alleged to have kicked, abused and spitting at people on the train, no doubt leading to arrests and or an investigation being launched. Footage was uploaded onto social media showing just what took place and how it played out, take a look for yourself below…

Dapo Afolayan got the only goal of the game, coming just four minutes from time to earn Bolton a fourth successive win with a hard-earned win over Peterborough.
He was subbed on as replacement for Kyle Dempsey, in the 70th minute which saw his shot take a massive deflection past the Posh goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom.
It was especially tough on Bergstrom, who had made two superb saves just after half time to deny Jack Iredale and Dion Charles as the Trotters failed to turn their dominance into goals.
Ian Evatt’s side thought they had scored on the 30th minute when George Thomason turned the ball into the net but the ref had already blown for an infringement in the six-yard box.
Gethin Jones also came close to netting for Bolton when he saw his header hit a post in first-half stoppage time.
Despite a lively start, Peterborough didn’t really threaten James Trafford in the Bolton goal; in fact they couldn’t get a shot on target, with a long-range effort from Ben Thompson in the 38th minute proving their best moment.
“I’m really pleased for the players. It was a good performance and a good win,” said Bolton’s Ian Evatt after the game.
“I think they came for a scrap today. They came to put it on us and in the past those types of games have caused us problems.
“But we’re a group of fighters and when our backs are to the wall we come out swinging and today we did.
“There are no soft touches here anymore. We stood up to that and eventually came out on top.
“We had the best chances and I’m delighted for Dapo, who’s kept his head down and worked hard. He deserved that goal.
“It was slightly fortuitous with the deflection but the way he got there wasn’t.
“We had lots of big chances and just didn’t take them. If I’m being critical that’s the one area we do need to improve on.
“But other than that, I don’t think anybody can argue we deserved to win.”
Bolton head to Tranmere next Tuesday night in the Papa Johns Trophy but now have a fortnight’s break from league action due to international call-ups.
Evatt is pleased with his side’s progress nine games into the season.
“We feel like we’ve had a tough start,” added the Wanderers’ boss.
“It’s a decent start and looks pretty good, but it’s only a start and we’ve got loads of work to do.
“We’ll just keep our heads down and keep fighting.”
Peterborough boss Grant McCann felt one lapse of concentration cost his side in the loss.
He said: “I thought it was a nip and tuck game. I thought apart from maybe a couple of chances Bolton had where Lucas had made a good save and one has hit the post, there was not much in the game.
“It was a good battle to be fair. From us from an attacking point of view, I’m disappointed in terms of we never created any real openings and when we did, we never got into the position to take it. Defensively I was quite pleased on the whole.
“I thought we looked strong, obviously a change of shape and then one lapse and moment of concentration where we don’t pick a second ball up in the middle of the pitch results in a goal, a big deflection and that’s cost us the game.
“We shouldn’t get to that stage, we should be able to pick a second ball up and then have a long ball, no problem given the fact of who we had on the pitch at that time.
“We want to be better from an attacking point of view, don’t get me wrong. I thought there was moments when we could have been better.
“We knew the way Bolton played and we didn’t get to the other side of the pitch quick enough for me. We kept getting it stuck onto our feet or dispossessed.
“That was frustrating and disappointing for us. From a defensive point of view I thought we defended nearly everything that they sent our way and when you’re coming to a place like this, they’re always going to have opportunities against you.
“Lucas has made two class saves, one has hit the post where there’s a tremendous block on the line to clear it. Apart from that, it felt like this game was just going to fizzle. Can we get another opportunity, could Joe Ward tap the cross in from Ephron (Mason-Clark)?
“It’s a frustrating afternoon for us to come away with another defeat and it’s a hard one to take.”
“I think it was a feisty game because the referee lost it a wee bit in terms of the control to be honest with you for both teams. It was like that, there wasn’t really a dirty tackle in the game and it just got to that stage where it became that sort of game.
“But it’s another defeat for us and we have to make sure we learn from this and move on and get better from it.”
