A black cat interrupted Everton’s 3-1 defeat to Wolves at Goodison Park this afternoon when it invaded the pitch during the second half.
The game was halted for around two minutes while stewards and the footballers bizarrely let it casually roamed about on the pitch, almost expecting it to know where the exit was.
It’s claimed by a commentator that the cat was smuggled into the stadium by an annoyed Toffees fan with pressure growing towards manager Marco Silva from supporters.
In the end the animal was only guided off the field which then led supporters in the stands to sarcastically cheer.
The game continued but no further goals were scored following the intrusion in the 68th minute.

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo found the moment all too amusing whilst Marco Silva sat in the dugout looking rather miffed off.
Ruben Neves scored the opening goal – a penalty – after just seven minutes before it was cancelled out by Andre Gomes.
It was all too comfortable for Wolves however who went on to net a further two goals through Raul Jimenez and Leander Dendoncker, cementing their side into seventh-place.
Everton sit in ninth, but have won just three league matches in their last 12, leading the home fans to boo the players down the tunnel.
After watching the amusing moment of the black cat pitch invading at Goodison Park, football fans took to give their reaction, some felt sorry for the animal and others found it funny – check out what they tweeted along with what Nuno has to say on the next page.
